Once the nice Spring weather is here in earnest, I go out for half an hour a day - before 10 am and the sun starts to become concentrated. I was chatting to my doctor about this.. you know, the risk of skin cancer, versus the risk of osteoporosis and he commented that .. if you get out early, whilst the sun is still partly softened by the curve of the earth, he felt it was an acceptable thing to do...and I concur. In the Summer, I will be out at between 8 and 8.30, because, of it's intensity, or late, afternoon. My mother, has always gotten a small amount of sun daily, and although now in her mid 80's...her bones, are pretty good and she has had one small skin cancer taken off her face. I suppose it's a matter of weighing the risks and deciding based on your own personal sense of 'right' for you.

Hi Crack up Thanks It's a tough choice and a fine line about going out in the sun You have to weigh up vit d / cancer / osteoporosis etc I always use a high SPF as a simple barrier - bit like a condom really ! I would have though more people here would have enjoyed getting out in the sunshine, naked or otherwise Remember, slip slop slap ..... And don't forget the sunscreen !!

There hasn't been a lot of sun here lately, but once speedway season starts I'll be out in it a lot more from the speedway pits.

I toil in the fields everyday, well almost everyday, and blood tests show that I am low in Vit D, I take a supplement. Go figure!

After being hidden away for winter your skin is rather sensitive. Just ask me, face is peeling after driving home for 3 hours with the roof off :(. Had such agood time too and now i am paying for it. Plenty of slip slap slap, then enjoy . Being in the sun is always an aphrodisiac for me too;) Minxy x

Ms Minx From the look of your profile (and pics) you have beautiful olive skin mmmmm (that's me drooling !!) I used to have a soft top jeep and loved driving in the evening with the top off - I used to leave of permanently over summer (oct-apr) so if it rained you got wet lol I did have a half canopy but was much use it you were driving or parked in the rain ! Love the top down, miss it Maybe I should look into buying a soft top again ;-) Btw, love your profile and your pics mmmm I can see your penchant for heels and a healthy body grrrr That white lingerie looks spectacular against your olive skin omfg heaven mmmmm Don't forget to slip slop slap even in the car ;-) XxX

Very simple...the human body can only absorb a certain amount of vit D from the sun each day....once that limit is reached there is no more absorption. So if you're unable to get some rays each day just pop a 500 or 1000 milligram vitamin D tablet each day or every second day. The body has a limit and the range from the sun each day is about between 400 to 600 milligram. So 10 to 15 minutes each day is a good help....anything over 30 minutes and you're just going to burn.

Quoting 'upinthesky'Wiccan I'm going to send some sunshine your way Not too much, don't want to dry out the track ! Today it's probably 26 and sunny - a few clouds and a nice breeze Please send some of that sunshine over this way! I moved from a much warmer part of the country nearly four years ago and still can't get over how miserable and long the winters are and how short the summers are here. Dry track is good as we can always dampen it down with the water truck, but a wet track can't be dried.
