Too good to be true

We have been chatting offline with a someone, where initially we were cautious if she were real because the avatar / face pic looked 'too good to be real'. It was professionally taken clearly, therefore the caution in us asked "is this real or too good to be real?' or more explicitly, if it looks too good, could it be a fake from stolen a stolen image to portray an ideal? After a longer than usual chat we were satisfied, mainly from the iPhone selfie image shared (if you are reading this we clearly think you're very beautiful).So this relates back to my question(s):I am quite familiar with shooting an DSLR camera and the images I have up are ones I have taken that could be misconstrued as fake (this is a question - do they give this impression?). Do people prefer everyday iPhone snaps to install confidence that it is a real profile? Roley

One of the biggest complaints with any online dating service relates to people posting profile pictures that were taken during much leaner and less grey times, so it is amusing to see this, that the pictures are so real that nobody believes they're real. I must admit if I looked at a profile pic that looked like it was professionally done I would probably be suspicious. That old adage ''if it's too good to be true it probably is'' could bring those that make some serious effort with their pictures undone.

Nice pics and profile. Is that Mister in one of the pictures in pantyhose? Nice. 👍🏻 You can reverse image search photos to see if they are fake, but if someone has a selection of professional looking photos and a selfies that are clearly the same people, I don’t see a problem with that.

*Chuckles*..I have a canon mark 3 d5 with some AWESOME lenses..Shoot in RAW and use Adobe photoshop Elements 14..I don't attempt photographing people, but I know what we can do with the shit I do photograph..and some of that appears too good to be true too ..

you don't crop those pics and send them up stairs into the www. cloud A search of the meta data within that pic, will mention a maps satellite position, if you are sitting in the park down the road a little, the position you sitting at the park bench and two locations on the streets your address marked as a link for maps directions, All your internet user data and owner of the device, time and date etc. In that for sakes, a simple better than good and true.
