Rude. Plain disrespectful with NO consideration for the importance if your time in relation to theirs. NEXT!!!! Flakey & unreliable people get no second chance in my world..... whether from here or the world beyond.

no second chances, that is really inconsiderate. I would rather have my wits about me than drink beforehand and I don't like the smell of some alcohol (Bundy Rum in particular). I find there are a lot of excuses in general when it comes to meeting up, sometimes I wonder why people are on here.

No, they were never rude or disrespectful. But when a date is planned in advance, it just reeks of thoughtlessness and inconsideration in my book. I believe one guy just used it as an excuse to bail, due to nerves. No second chances there I'm afraid.

Hmmm in my opinion, this shows the level of maturity or lack thereof, according to their actions. Gosh...a meet to me would be time to spruce up and try and look smashing...not get there smashed. Poor form...no more words needed.

If it's a first time meet, and it happens, take 'em off your Xmas List immediately, if it happens with someone you have been with for a while, maybe one chance before you flick 'em, we mere males do sometimes have memory lapses!

I had one guy I met here a couple of weeks ago, we met for a drink, arranged to meet in a week when he got back from work. He was messaging right up till that morning about how he couldn't wait blah blah,then nothing! His loss but it did piss me off there was not even an excuse! Waste of my time.

I agree with you - it's extremely poor form and bad manners. It's never happened to me but I don't give 2nd chances in those sorts of circumstances or anything similar so there would be point in them ever trying to contact me again should it ever occur.

So the choice is to get too drunk to do anything and stay at home or stay sober,turn up on time and go out with an attractive lady? If you had a computer with as much logic as that guy you'd throw it out the window....actually the computer may be able to be fixed.

Ok, home truth have had to catch a cab due to having had a few before a meet. But please factor in it only takes a few standard drinks to be over the limit. Maby they're being responsible an not drink driving, can't afford a cab or had a few to calm nerves and its gotten a weee bit out of hand.Plenty happens, murphys law etc etc. But a no show an a text after the set meet time, rude. Some people change their minds about a meet for many reasons. Hopefully they apologize to you. I have organised meets an then no texts an no show, at least you got a message to say they weren't coming. But head up. Move onward an upward. Your time is precious...... their loss.

as has already been said that's just plain rude....DG got it in one....my last cancellation his reason was he was in a bad mood after being out riding with mates and getting pulled over and interrogated by police because they were riding in a group of 15.... This said ride mind you was occurring when he was supposed to be providing some afternoon delight....hard to find good help these days...lol...😜

I swear guys have said that to women I know a few times. its like , umm sorry luv me and me mates are going fishing....then guys whine cause the woman says go fish, when they ask again. must be hard though, fishing? sex?fishing? sex? fishing? fishing? yep mates and fishing makes some guys bar up more than if their is pussy on offer. and the old, I have been called into work, seconds before a meeting. its a Sunday morning so yes, I guess a priest might call in sick so he has to replace him at short notice. happens here at the convent all the time.

I've had someone do that to me as well Yep all week we had planned to come to my place for the weekend. Then at the last minute text me "Sorry can't make it, had a bad day at work and going out with mates" I thought..."Fuck you - how bloody rude" So I text him "OK - have fun.." That was that....let him stew - his loss not mine. I also had another who constantly drank alcohol...it was his hidden addiction, secretly I think there was more than alcohol! Every time we had phone chats, he was drinking and carried on with crap and would sleer, next day remember nothing. It was offensive after a while and tiresome.. Yep you guessed it...I always had to go there...when ever I took out the rubbish his bins were full of empty bottles..and lots of them..another sign that he drank...so fuck that too! If it can't be equal or shared with meeting...I'm not interested! Nor am I interested in meeting a drunk.. If someone has to be drunk to be around me, it says to me they have to dull themselves and be someone else. Gets quite boring. after a while as they become abusive and intolerable, always looking for arguments. Not for me, I'm afraid. I don't like drunks or drunk excuses. There is social drinking and then there's an addiction to alcohol - always in denial. Foxy

Are they out of your league and they just don't have the balls to say, not that into you sorry?" Either way, its bad form. I think guys (as do ladies) love to chat and talk with the opposite sex, its all part of the game/chase. But when it comes to actually meeting up, they can loose interest unless the person is a 9 or 10. it seems to be an RHP sport.

Poor form do you think? - Yes... tis called a Taxi (don't drink and drive but also don't pike on a promise)... though you may not have liked what turned up so maybe you got lucky in the end. If I were you I would probably be hitting the Next button on this person OP. Should you abstain from drinking before a meet? - Depends on the person being met and how well you know them... I would never turn up drunk for a meet... maybe have 1 or 2 light drinks before to calm the nerves, but that's it. Have you ever met up with anyone who was wasted? - Yes.What did / would you do? - Put her in my bed with a bucket, water and Nurofen... then went to sleep on the couch, checked on her every once and a while to make sure she didn't drown.
