To friend or not to friend

Does everyone go through their friend lists every so often and do a cull.You know, delete the people you added impulsively or on the spur of the momentor maybe it was someone you met up with for coffee/beer once and they weren'tyour cup of tea....Or do you just let them sit on your list of friends and mellow?Thoughts here please....
