To bi or not to bi, that is the question

April 18 2010

This has been one that has been on my mind for a while. Whilst I find that it is more widly accepted that a woman can be by and found attractive to a man or couple, I find rare that single women or couples aren't as interested in bi men. Why is that. Do RHPers have a view on this, would especially like to hear a the views of woman and couples, and do supposedly straight males feel threatened by bi men.

As a bi male, I've never had a problem with women or couples on RHP due to my sexuality. If anything it has actually helped at times, to break the ice and discuss - in part.

Well done Gardiner68 for raising the question I am a bi guy and i agree with you that the majority of couples and women do not seem to be seeking a bi guy. I too would be interested in hearing from couples about their thoughts on this. Personally i find that by being able to accomodate both members of the couple is a very sexually staisfying role... for all parties. I think ( speaking generally) its under explored and underrated... it really is a great thing. Each to their own of course. I would encourage couples to talk about this option more and give it a try. Same sex is visually appealing whether its FF or MM. I am sure there must be more curiosity about it out there ... perhaps its the next wave of the sexual revolution? :)

I have found though, that most women im attracted to are generally bi. I find that they generally are more in touch with their own sexuality and I guess if men are bi then they are in touch with their own sexuality. And why do I say this. If anyone remembers Kinseys extensive research into sexuality, he found that he found that even though bi sexuality, was at that time, not discussed, that he could break the populace up as follows:10% of people are absolutely gay/lesbian10% of the people are absolutely straightthe remaining 80% are all bi to some varying degree on a sliding scale between straight and gay/lesbianThis would then suggest that a lot of people are supressing their true sexuality to conform to society when in reality thats not who we are. I would then argue that I hope the next wave is coming. More woman are in touch with their sexuality than men, but its only a small part of the 80%.

The thing about being a bisexual man is that you dont actually have to root other men if the circumstances do not lend themselves to it... you can just as happily root women. A bisexual man can enjoy the choice of genders and if desired and opportunistic, just root women and perhaps never root men. This has its advantages in the company of homophobic heterosexuals.... The gay community doesn't readily accept bisexual men either.... they see bisexual men as gay people who are in effect not out yet.. or are gay in training... but bisexuality is a legitimate sexuality. The greatest advantage of all for a bisexual man is the capabilty to switch camps when women are giving you anxt. hehe. In any case, I've always thought that most experienced kinksters are tolerant of other people's sexuality and sexual deviations, provided that they're lawful. There are of course plenty of couples around who's profile says no to bi men... so you'll see a lot of guys who are bi or bi curious stating in their profiles that they are straight.... and discretely hit on other guys around RHP anyway.
