yea had it done.... maybe 2 1/2 years back..was free tho at the local hospital.... while on the table they informed me that i was the first they'd done in a decade....which was a bit unsettling... but it all went well...was no biggie, had a nice chat with a nurse and her mate while a doc and his apprentice went about their stuff, and hacked into my bits.... after was drama free...little pain but nothing too dramatic ... all good after testing a month or so later..........

How much do you think your "man bits" are worth? lol Had my vasectomy years ago (24 to be exact) so can't give an opinion on value for money, just that I'd rather pay more for a good job than chase the cut price surgeon. As for my experience, only had a local and was no big deal. I think my wife kinda liked the african american look for the few days my balls were black and blue. She certainly got a laugh out of them! I do have a tip for you, if you go through with it wear two pairs of jocks for a few days. Supports the man bits while they recover. And lots of ice cream... hang on, thats for when you have your tonsils out.

Go to www.mbsonline.gov.au and type in Vasectomy in the search box on the right hand side...you will then get the item number, the scheduled fees - and the mdicare rebate - if any...fees may be different depending on whether you are having it done in a Health Service facility or a Specialists private room...

A lot will depend on the type of procedure you have, a local or a general. I fully admit I was a wimp, I was put under for mine, there was no way in hell I was going to be awake and possibly looking while some doctor was rummaging down their with a scalpel! I can't comment on the cost, I had mine down whilst still in the military.Oh expect a little swelling and a mad rush to get the samples to the doctor to prove the operation worked lol

475.00 is a small price to pay if you don't want anymore children. Just make sure you pick a good Doctor. Simple procedure justs feels wied like some one pulling on your nuts. I feel more horny after the cut maybe because there is no presure of getting the lady pregnant. You are a bit sore after a few days and it sucks to have to blow into a jar to make sure it has worked but that is where your partner comes in handy can be fun.

We hope your decision is being made in regards to yourself & your lady. Not in the hope that playmates will allow you to make a deposit in their money boxes? Whether a guy has had the snip or not...condoms should still be used with 'playmates'

Must be a WA situation only ... becuause its not actually a procedure that can be done in a GP surgery .. if can be done under light sedation or just under a local anaesthetic to the area ,.... but it takes at least 30 mins minimum to do ..

In the town i live in we are limited to who can/will do this procedure.I went in about a month ago to the surgeon for a consultation .Mrs Luvsilver has tried the implant and also the injection but does not like putting drugs into her body so i am getting the snip as our family is now well and truly complete plus we are getting too old to be feeding at 3 am nowdays! I was hoping to just have the area numbed while he did his thing but he will not do this and says he will only do it with me out to it. All up expenses will be about $625.00 plus the $120.00 for him to tell me this.No not cheap but was is nowdays. Mr Luvsilver

MOst of the sexual health clinics do this procedue but under a light General Anaestgetic ... and Under a Local .. In NSW , QLD , and VIC .. contact mariestopes.com.au.... thats what they do day in day oiut .. you are there for about 2 hrs .. and most of the cost is under medicare .. they are day only clinics .. look them up .. they are a wealth of information on other issues as well ..

in Qld...contact your GP for a referral to one of the hospitals........its free when done thru qld health.
