December 13 2010

Id like to propose we have one post full of good cheer.. No negatives... You can use it to thank someone, praise someone, talk about the sunshine, a great new cocktail you discovered, a great new position you have tried, a new lover, new friend or anything that simply brings a smile to your face ... stopping to think about what youre happy about in life really helps to drive a sense of personal fulfillment I think..This year has been a really interesting one for me... full of personal growth and development in a lot of ways and with results and experiences I would have never expected and am really enjoying. People that met me a year ago and met me now would meet a totally different man... and thats kinda fun to think about.:)LS

For me a little thing that made me smile was visiting the dog beach with my dog and all the other dogs running about just so excited. Now that made me smile and Christmas in Summer is they best way to have it.

I am grateful for all the kids that came and went in my life. They all keep in touch, many via facebook as they live in different towns now but they call in when passing. Some will remain a while yet and one will be with me for the rest of my life. She did not grow beneath my heart but in it. Not a child of my blood but mine just the same. This last year has seen her emerging as a beautiful young lady and as she enters her final year at school, finally finding the home she has searched for all her young life and the stability to go forward into adulthood. I am grateful that none of the young men I know currently serving OS were injured or maimed or lost thier lives and the last remaining one will be home for christmas with his wife and young family. I am grateful that all my family and friends are healthy. Also all the new friends I have made here on RHP. Those I have got to know personally and those through chats and the forums. I too have made some fantastic friends on this site and look forward to continuing this friendship in the years to come. As for myself, I am grateful that I am in good health. I have my work, that I love and my kids that I love. Life doesnt get any better.

I find it hard to celebrate the positives without considering the negatives to really appreciate where I am in the present. I'm thankful for what I've learned in the hard times and for the endurance to get through them. I'm thankful to the people who help make my life worth living and even more thankful to those who think I do the same for them. I'm thankful that there are always people to meet that make you look at yourself and think you could do even more to make the world better. Lastly I'm thankful to have that one special person to team up with and tackle all life has to give.

This year has been one of discovery and opportunity. Finally free of the "old shackles" that bound me for so long. Life is looking rosey and i've met some incredible people here on RHP. Thanks to all my forum friends. Thanks to the ones I've chatted with over MSN and those i've been lucky enough to meet in person. thanks to the select few that I've had the chance to enjoy some "special time" with - you know who you are. Christmas for me will be about a BBQ breakfast with my kids and family - something I've not done at Christmas time for a while. I'm looking forward to spoiling my kids rotten as I do every year. hugs and best wishes to all Wayne x

My luck to have a girlfriend who is so open and understanding. Would like to thank her parents for making her so.. and gym for shaping her so! Also my band is finally making progress to start gigging again. We've been through a lot this year looking for guitarists, until we finally realised we don't need one. Our sound has never been better and we're super happy. - Jose

for getting through this year withiout going postal on former work collegues. for the pride I have in my work for the kids I taught this year and how they enjoyed the teaching and learning as much as me for the faith in my methods my new boss has put in me to increase learning and teaching at my new school for my family, who I leave to go visit in 3 hours for having the strenght to perservere in Darwin, despite the social problems I am forced to deal with for my friends for achieving permanency at work within 2 years for achieving my personal goals, professional goals and making the changes I have needed to to be inspiring and inspired for chocolate and diet pepsi for life! that is all

The other night, it was a balmy summer night in Qld, and I was surrounded by afew friends having a great dinner, talking about our days and whatever crossed our minds over afew drinks, dancing to some great (and tradgic) music, laughing our heads off... I guess I am thankful for all the love, laughter and music in my life - sometimes I think we all can feel abit disconnected, but its the simple times like these that really make life so sweet... :)

well on a slightly negative note it has been in some ways not the best year at all... It bought a crossroads I didnt see coming but in saying that this may sound strange but merry christmas to the ex not because of any hidden feelings simply because in us breaking up I have emerged a far stronger far more confident ( little but of a way to go there ) person because of it.....But the biggest and most heartfelt christmas wishes go to those i have met here on RHP one in particular(gulliver) LOL who have blessed my life with so much through this journey. You are truly loved and appreciated for that.So to all my RHP friends heres cheers may you get back all you have given plus ten fold in the year that lies aheadxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It has been a tradition of mine to have Waifs chrissie at our house. People we know through work or personally who would othr wise be alone on chrissie are always welcome at our place...to be honest we do not take no as an answer. It is wonderful to gather family and friends around having good time and good company. This time of year can be very lonly for people so I urge you to open your door and your heart to some one who will be alone this chrissie. I have no religious convictions or special interest in charity but I do love seeing my friends and family happy. XOX Have a safe happy chrissie LC
