I'm like a broken record, along with hot boxing instructors they are my favourite sexual stereotype. So my answer is a firm yes, yes, yes! And with the little bit of thought that I've put into pondering why they do it for me so much I've concluded that it's probably that 'white knight' factor of saving the day. It doesn't take much to be a hot tradie in my eyes, you must a) be hot and b) have some kind of manual skillset that makes you a fix it, physical kind of guy. In real life I have no handy man, MrParadise does what he can, has fixed a few things and built flatpack stuff, but has his limits and I like to google and see what patches I can do to get me through emergencies, particularly with cars, I probably understand what bits of cars do more than the average woman but that's mainly come from buying lemons.

Mrs Justus loves a handy man - so much infact she married him!I am not a clutz when it comes to maintenance but must admit I could do more or learn more but Mr is just so damned good - why bother?Saves money on paying tradies travel and the endless wait to have them not turn up. The best thing is I get to see the plumbers crack wheneva I like!Oh the man can hold a conversation and drive a good screw at the same time... oops carried away then... screw driver... his plumbing is quite good too....Mrs Justus

I have memories burned into my soul of a gorgeous man I was lucky enough to love fixing all sorts of things about the place. Outside, shirt off, muscles rippling, slight sweat, hammering, nailing, all that jazz ;) Inside giving me lectures about the dangers of electricity and the need to do things properly. I'm pretty handy - I have tools, I like to renovate - but it was sexy as hell when he took things off me and said 'here, let me do that'! It was pure chivalry, not the slightest bit sexist. I swooned every time. I particularly loved how careful he was with everything. He took his time when he needed to, finished things carefully, no rushing, short cuts or carelessness. Much like the way he treated me :) - Posted from rhpmobile

I have a female friend who is able to do all kinds of handyman type tasks. I find her skills super sexy, plus there is something primal about being covered in sweat and grease, teasing each other while working on her car or my bike, building her shed, painting etc. I love it.

I have a friend who seems to create a shortlist of jobs for me to fix in her home. We joke about the handyman uniform..... boots and a toolbelt....... and discuss the terms of payment. Being handy is all part of projecting reliability and capability DG

Quoting 'Mischeviouslad'reliability and capability DG, those two words should NOT be sexy, but damn they are! It's the old classic ... 'taking care of business'. Sigh ... :) One of the MANY things I love about a 'handy man'.

Every day cruising amazes me with his ingenuity and compassion from fixing broken irrigation pipes to diagnosing and treating a sick animal. Yesterday I watched him rebuild a sheep pen, weld a bracket on our trailer, cut firewood (that is the sexiest with a shirt off) and then treat a lamb with tight tendons which most farmers would just knock on the head. Maybe I should hire him out lol

Helping out when you can is one of life's great joys, be it just a trivial little fix it job or help with a major renovation I am happy to get my hands dirty for nothing more than a smile and the satisfaction of a job well done. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and have an eye for detail. If I build a fence I build it to last 100 years, nothing is unfixable and no problem is to hard. I have never been trained in any type of trade but came from a family that insisted us kids learn everything there is to know about general maintenance and that if you did not know how you go to the library (now internet) and find out. To give you an idea to the extent we would goto. In 1979 to great joy in the household it was announced that we were getting a below ground pool for summer. When the site was inspected and to everyone's disappointment we were told that the hole for the pool needed to be blasted but as it was so close to the house and they would not do it. No problem, over the next 3 months with nothing but a pick axe, wheel barrow and shovel my mum dug the hole by hand through in places solid rock and the pool was in in time for summer. So rare to see that type of can do hard working attitude these days

I have issues with asking for help and when I do ask it generally is not forthcoming anyway. I love a handy man, love playing tradies assistant. Over the years I have learnt to do most maintenance jobs myself and if I can't, then I hire someone who can. I find my unwillingness to now ask for help has actually hindered relationships. It is ironic really. A woman asks for help and gets turned down enough times that she no longer asks and the very gender that turns her down gets all bent out of shape when she no longer asks. Why don't you men understand that just because I can do it myself, does not mean I want to, just because I don't always ask for help, does not mean help is not wanted, needed or appreciated? - Posted from rhpmobile

I still get frustrated when I have to hand my defiant screw-top jar to a man in order to access it's goodness. I like to be capable of doing everything and not have to ask for help, but know that's not practical. If a "handy" friend does something for me, you can be damn sure I'll be watching and learning so I can try to do it myself the next time. Women get off on feeling protected and secure, like DG said, this is how a man hits that need square on the head. It's the same to me as a woman cooking for a man who needs "help" in that department. Men get off on being nurtured. These wants/needs are often subconscious, but they influence many without them realising it. So, you get your head under my sink and I'll make you a sammich. Fair trade yeah?

.. make a bee line to my garage if they want to borrow something, which quite often leads to not only borrowing the tools 'but taking me along to show me what they want to do and I end up doing it for them. Somehow I think thats the plan.. haha.. Some time back my very sexy young neighbour asked if I 'd mind looking at her leaking laundry taps.. I took them apart , grinded the insides, replaced the washers and bingo.. all fixed.. Showing her gratitude she offered to pay something, I said no so she asked if Id like a case of beer.. I declined.. Knowing she has a great sense of humour, I piped up... and I dont have time for a fuck...so dont ask.. She giggled , put me in a headlock and gave me a peck on the cheek..lol Good to have good neighbours ...

Meander......I'd take fixing your head on. Fixed a few heads in my time but none as attractive as yours. Not sure where I'd go for a gasket set though?

In my workplace I'm surrounded by intellectuals but they do nothing for me, give me a man that works with his hands any day ..... very sexy. Having said that I'm quite capable around the house, had to be because my ex was useless. I quite enjoy getting my hands dirty so will only call on a handyman when it's something I can't fix myself.

I had to get TV cables in all the bedrooms in my house, as now I take in a fifo lodger or two. so the cable guy comes, and is smoking hot, and from the ring on his finger married. He goes into my room and I forgot I had my lingerie on the bed. Just washed me smalls and all. He saunters down stars and stands next to me and, here I am with red nose and looking like crap as I had shocking cold. He says, I notice you wear lingerie, and I notice you have separate bedrooms.I was shocked never saw that coming. I said yep and yep you got that right, so he says I would love to see you in some of that gear. Not today honey, unless you want a cold. so this hunk leans over me and says, show me your breastswhat is a girl to do? Hell yeah I showed him and gave him a jigglethe rest of the day was me doing the shimmy on my iphone and getting him to the point of no return with saucy pictures. It was a one off, and bloody guy never gave me a discount either... but hey he showed me his nice willy so all is fair.
