The good rube on lube

October 16 2010

We are just looking for advice. For some of our activities and when playing with toys we find that we need a little help from the lube tube. Unfortuneately the ones we have used are irritating to the skin. Has anyone had similar problems, and is there alternatives to use that may be a little less irritating. We do need a solution. We don't wnat to limit the trying of new things that may well be lots of fun.

I find almost all the water based lubes go thick, sticky and unless you have a good shower after you're left feeling yucky - but not with the silicone lube wihich seems to stay slippery and not go sticky, you just apply more and its back to slip n slide.of water based, the 'sylk' kiwi fruit derived lube doesn't seem to go yuck and feels 'clean' afterwards - but it is a bit on the liquid side, not so much a gel like others.Wet Stuff isn't bad, but ... *runs to drawer* XXXCite silicone lube.

The best lube by a long way is Pjur. Get the original silicone type. It is more expensive, but you only need to use a couple of drops.

Pjur .. is fantastic and i agree .. just a little goes a long way ... so worth every cent. But Sylk as Sydney Boy says is made from Kiwi fruit and supposed to be completely hypoallergenic.. so perhaps thats the best one to try :) sassy

Anything with dimethicone or cylcomethicone or preferably both on the ingredients list means it's a high quality synthetic based lube, they stay wet for hours and are mostly toy friendly. Check products for interactions with condoms though if you're going to use them, they can weaken them. :) hope that helps?... x

kiwi fruit lube is fine for people who aren't allergic to kiwi fruit! I do know someone who is, doh! Another vote here for silicone lube (its good for shining up latex too!). For intensive butt play I like a combination of crisco and a bit of silicone lube. I also have "I can't believe it's not boy butter" water based lube which I love, because it's white and creamy so looks like cum, and watching it dribble out after liberal application makes me happy. Remember not to use silicone lube with silicone toys (although you can get around this by rubbering them up!), or crisco with rubber toys

All good advice, now the task of finding some of these. Being in a country town, there isn't a lot available. But an extensive search is required.

I'd just order a selection online, and give em a try before settling on what you really like. The shops I've been to have all had a limited range of lubes, with no single place having all the different ones to try - but online you can get it all done nice n quick and have them ready to play in a day or two.

Pjur Woman silicone lube! Absolutely the best stuff we have ever tried. Expensive but goes a long way as you dont need much of it. Tasteless and odourless too. Just dont use it on your silicone toys. We use a Pjur water based lube instead with a We-Vibe. Cheers & slippery beers.
