The extraordinary happened today!!

So there I was this afternoon, laying on Newcastle's Bar Beach for the first time (when you live in Nelson Bay you don't need to go anywhere else!) in a black bikini with TOP ON happily watching my daughter have a paddle in the water... when this guy walks up to me and hits on me!! WTF?!! THIS NEVER HAPPENS! He's about the same age, maybe younger, asks me some general questions then quickly gets to 'are you married' which floored me and before I have a second to think, I answered "yeah, de-facto anyway" which lead to him gently retreating from that line of enquiry and he moved on shortly afterwards. Five minutes later I'm thinking woohoo - how cool is that guy for having the guts for having a go?!!! So I'm looking around for him but sadly he had left the beach. I was then telling the story to one of my girlfriends and I told her I was disgusted for wasting an opportunity and what a bitch I was for telling a lie but genuinely confused why I had reacted that way. Her answer?? She says that as a girl on RHP, I get to control who I meet, the dates, the where, the what and the why's lol.... She reckons that because this guy had the control, I didn't know how to react. Good point and something I need to take on board. But to all the fellas out there - HAVE A GO - I thought it was awesome that he did it! You should too sometime, you never know what might happen.... xxx

Yeah I think this setup gives you girls waaay too much control. I mean, I totally understand why it can be comfortable for women not to have deal with creeps and be able bounce them outta there, but deep down, when you meet a real guy, I don't think you ladies actually want to feel comfortable and in control, at least not all the time. And besides, it's always better to do things my way! This guy: That's great you found that so exciting and its always good to see a guy putting his balls on the table (figuratively anyway), but I don't know why he would even ask if you were married, unless he was secretly expected (or hoped?) you were going to find *some* reason to turn him away. Weird.

Nelson Bay is a great place I agree Babygirl...the beach is a perfect place for the intrigue and to approach sexy people like yourself, to see an attractive person in their swimwear is a big turn on. Summer, the beach, not much clothing on has always ticked the boxes for me. Let me know next time you are heading down the beach, I will be the eager one with bells on wanting to ask you out. John

You're friend is a thinker and a clever one at that. I'm not sure I would have given up as fast as this guy did though So next time I'm cruising to the north end of "Stocko" I should keep an eye out for black bikinis?

I'll give credibility to this theory.I'm not a confident pants man, Those that have met me know I'm not shy when talking but it's the approach that gets me. I am no brad pitt but I dont think Im unattractive. I approached an absolutely stunning girl with the intent of making a fool of myself for a laugh with my mates and because I had disarmed my own expectations I pulled it off.I have now a new confidence in myself thats rubbing off with everything.Funny how a tea spoon of cement has made a wonderful difference.Rob
