Only ever used it in it's negative form - some people really are c**** and deserve the title. I think I would laugh if it was used in the heat of the sexual moment....not sure it has never happened. K.

Probably not the best word in the dictionary, assuming it is there, but if it helps you in the heat of the moment, then go for it. Otherwise, i prefer other terms!!

Rite OK.. Don't find anything wrong with it.. In the appropriate circumstances.. Really depends what your kink factor is!! Don't get me wrong I'm not one to get offended by simple words like most.. But if a simple word with a few meanings offends you well there just has to be something wrong with you.. Maybe you were raised in a very sheltered environment.. Who knows?? Bored as a cunt in hell... Pixie xxx

Doesn't do much for me in a sexual context anymore. Depends who is using it I guess? It's sexy in Lady Chatterly's Lover but the word just had a different 'feel' back then. As per a reviewer: So as I read the story and absorbed the way Lawrence used cunt, his usage became my usage. Lawrence used cunt beautifully; it was not a term of denigration; it was not used to belittle; it was not an insult nor something to be ashamed of; cunt was lyrical, romantic, caring, intimate. And I came to believe that cunt was meant to be used in all these ways. That the poetic use of cunt was the accepted use of cunt, the correct use of cunt, and suddenly cunt was part of my vocabulary. So it's kinda lost on me in the bedroom since no one's going to be thinking DH Lawrence when using it these days. I do however think it's a most appropriate word to use regarding a nasty, nasty prick, or thing.

I don't like the word in it's negative form so I don't ever use it in that sense... In a sexual context, it's a turn on for me... but I'm just a dirty girl who likes dirty talk ;-) From the differing opinions on the subject above, I'd suggest finding out if it turns her on or off first before using it! Something that I find offensive would just kill the mood for me instantly but if she likes it, then absolutely go for it!

It's actually the name of a female mink so traditionally it was probably a term of affection that over the years has been highjack to mean something really offensive.

being a kinky girl as i am, lots of role plays over the years where degradation and humiliation are a real turn on, saying cunt in any way shape or form is perfectly ok and red hot in the heat of the moment as in "what a wet little cunt you have" etc etc name calling or whatever. i wouldnt say i am easily offended and i have been "called for everything" and i lap it up and beg for more.... mmmmmmmmmmm

I rarely use the word, "cunt". Not because it offends me but there's just so many other words to employ which paint a picture of the same expression yet in a more seductive way. However, I like being called a cunt when I'm fucking someone really hard... or when I'm not fucking them... just teasing the fuck out of them. hehe. Hugs to you too Tammy, Gaz

I like to say it because I like to observe a person's reaction to it eg. Some laugh nervously, some are horrified and disgusted, some find it hilarious, some look puzzled thinking did I hear her right. I like to hear it when I'm being dealt to in bed as its a dirty word and I like it when boy oh talks dirty to me.

I'd probably go for another word...there's so many words that it can be replaced with which doesn't make you sound trashy! Hearing a girl saying that at the wrong moment could affect a man's transmission...:)

Personally I love the word cunt. A few years ago I did research in to this word as I was writing a piece about my cunt and I wanted to know the words history this is what I found: CuntThe word can be traced back to two words: the Greek word konnus (a beard or the wearing of the hair in a tuft) and the Latin word cunnis (a vagina and the woman who possesses it). Many believe cunnis is actually derived from konnus. The first use of the word appears in 1230 when Gropecuntelane is listed among the streets that made up the brothels area of Southwark, England. Given the environment, it's been assumed that the term became a shortening of the word and was in wide use at the time. By the 15th century, though, cunt was viewed as an unacceptable word. Then this article by Kate Allen who argues “When used as a swearword, 'cunt' seems to convey profoundly misogynist connotations - that the 'nastiest' 'dirtiest' word someone could come up with was the word for a woman's vagina shows a deep fear of women's sexuality, argue those who object to its use. Hear Hear Kate, she goes further to state “can we as women be comfortable with our cunts if we also use the term as a swearword or term of abuse?” The argument continues and my favorite line is contained within the next paragraph: “Context is everything - to describe a penis as a dick is a statement of fact; to describe an entire human being as a dick is derogatory simply because it implies there is nothing more than that to them as a person. Why can't the same analysis apply to 'cunt'? Perhaps the difference lies in which gender uses the word - women rarely call each other 'dicks'; men on the other hand consider 'cunt' the greatest slur on their person. This say the word's opponents, is sure evidence of misogyny - men are afraid of cunts; they menace each other with the threat of being compared to one.” Haaaa men are afraid of cunts!!! Lol. To me cunt is a term of endearment if I call you a cunt you should hold yourself in the highest esteem for what could be better than a cunt? Although I must say once you have embraced the word cunt and thereby your own cunt, it does leave you lacking for things to call people who you wish to describe as dirty and low, after much searching and believe me it was tough, I came up with “he has an ass like a clowns pocket” now when I wish to diss someone I call them a clowns pocket (big arsehole full of shit) not that I think arseholes are bad either! With this in mind Playfulminx perhaps you might like to rethink your statement: “I do however think it's a most appropriate word to use regarding a nasty, nasty prick, or thing” surely you wouldn’t describe your own cunt in such a way? And To All You Fabulous Cunts Out there…..Long May You Ride!

I have always avoided the use of the word until meeting and falling in love with a woman that uses the word freely. We only use the word in a positive way, ( I don't use the word hate ) and laugh a lot using it but avoid it anytime we are not sure if it may offend others. I have seen it used on the tv show sex in the city quite well in a positive light, and fail to see the big deal with it. Just depends on your perspective or cultural influences, and as we know they are always changing. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone it must be ok. I love cunt. Rob xx

I think words are like plasticine - completely malleable with time and tide. 'Cunt' just doesn't even figure in my head as 'vagina' anymore (perhaps it never did?). It may be that I've listened to Kevin Bloody Wilson one too many times (ie - 'The local cop's a cunt'). I'll get a chuckle out of its usage in that way and I get the supposed misogyny but I think sometimes it's a case of etymology vs current accepted vernacular. What's the bet that some younger people actually use 'cunt' without really knowing what it means?

I hate hearing people referring to others as cunts. Its usually said with a lot of malice. I certainly don't mind being told I have a nice cunt. In an intimate setting I am fine with the word. Subterfuge, great response to the post. Cheers (Not so WILD about "cunt" as a swear word

what do we do?1/ allow some people the choice to be offended? because being offended is a choice you make. you can always just ignore other people and not be offended at all. i often wonder it people choose to be offended as a way of seeking some level of dominance over others. as in "don't say that, it offends me. there, i made you change your behaiour".2/ allow people the freedome to say what they want? is this actualy socialy acceptable? we often hear folk say "don't talk about sex, religoin or pollitics".. or "the war" in faulty towers. mabe we all secretly don't want people to talk to us at all?LRE ( philisophical shit 101 )

... I must say I enjoy this forum, so much to learn!Subterfuge - what an insightful view you have, thanks!Mind you I have used cunt, dick, cock, fucker etc as negatives in the past (and probably will again). Words are only as harmful as the people who use them but it is always good to look at what lies beneath. Another post referred to "yellow" as a descriptor, now how can such a calm and pretty colour be a negative? I'm only a simple soul but I do love Philosophical Shit 101.

Bloody or shit use to be terrible words back in the times, and now you hear it everywhere, so i guess in my books and quite a few ppl i know, it doesnt matter its just another word!!
