They both have significant meaning to me and the meaning is hidden to others. Both are not usually on display. I like Tats. I am not obsessed with them and I do think some look amazing. Others look not so hot and I will never get one just for the sake of having another tattoo. Ink can become addictive. I spent many months looking for and planning my first. It was given to me as a birthday present by one of my daughters and right up until the last minute I had no idea as to what it was going to be. l You probably find them sexy because it used to be that only bad girls had tats.

Tattoos can be sexy, they can be artistic, and they can be meaningful. However, they can be horrible when placed on an obese boob, a chubby cankle, or the small of a bogan's back.

Quoting 'Justin8507_Take2' However, they can be horrible when placed on an obese boob, True...If I was a tattoo artist I wouldn't want my canvas suddenly changing shape, so would have some sort of weight clause in the contract. I mean there'd be nothing worse than proudly standing back and looking at the pretty feminine butterfly you placed on someone's breast only to see it 5 years and 40ks later looking like a deformed dragon swooping towards a belly button piercing.

I find tattoos very sexy and I loooove great tattoos on muscley arms! But it's just a little weakness of mine and the absence of one is certainly not a dealbreaker. When it comes to women though, I find placement is everything! I once saw a tattoo on a hip that had started out as a pretty little dolphin. After 3 children, it looked like a whale even the Japanese wouldn't have wanted to harpoon. My own tattoo is very significant to me and you most likely wouldn't see it unless you were close enough to me to understand the significance and meaning of it. If it adds to my sex appeal, splendid! But it's special to me and I don't have any interest whatsoever in showing it off.

tattoos most definitely dont "make you hot". a lot of the time they end up looking just plain ugly.......especially on old weather beaten and stretched skin.....we recently saw a horrible looking woman, saggy everything, with old faded blue tattoos on her shoulders arms and breasts. to say she looked hideous would be a kindness. the "hotness" is something you have without tattoos, because they do nothing, except on occasion point out wanna-be bad boys and bad girls.

Thats a bit judgemental isn'ty it Justin....You have a issue with bigger chicks methink's. I have tatt's and I'm a bigger chick. My newest tattoo is on the inside of my right arm and it covers the folding joint between my upper and lower arm. It has meaning to me and just because I am a bigger chick, it does NOT look horrible. I have lots of compliments on the placement and look of my tattoos, one which is on what might be termed a cankle by some and just an ankle by others. If you go to a tattoo artist who is just that, an artist, tattoos become a work of living art. Don't judge the worthiness or beauty of the person based on the tattoo's they wear. Personal opinion should remain just that... personal. this may be a public forum, but I don't come to read about how horrible or unsexy I am based on my own choices for my own body and life. Quoting 'Justin8507_Take2' Tattoos can be sexy, they can be artistic, and they can be meaningful. However, they can be horrible when placed on an obese boob, a chubby cankle, or the small of a bogan's back.

They are addictive to some, definitely addictive to me. Im no wanna be bad boy either. Unfortunately the taboo still does exist. For example - I walk down the main street of Perth in the evening going out for dinner, well dressed (Armani jeans, designer t shirt, short cropped hair) with my family and people take a wide berth around me. Im not heavily tattooed but I do have a prominent half sleeve. People could be seen looking at my arm while walking around us. As for the OPs Q - I dont think they make me hot (I dont think Im that hot anyway lol). If I got them to make me hot then I got them for the wrong reasons. Tatts will stay with you forever, unless they are lasered off, so they should mean something IMHO. Like others have said tatts are not necessarily hot but they can be on the right person with the right artwork. A lot of people get them for personal reasons, that's how I ended up with my first one.A saying I have heard goes like this"Those that have tatts don't care whether you have tatts or not. Those that dont have tatts do care whether you have them or not"

I don't think my tatts make me sexy. My tatts aren't even tatts to me, that's just what my arms look like. To me they're almost inthe same category as a hair cut or colour.... That's what I look like. That look might change. Might look funny for a bit but you'll get used to it

Personal tattoos are not necessarily sexy as they are there for the owner of the tatto, not the viewer of the tattoo. Mine is personal and was never intended to be seen as sexy. . There is some incredible tattoo art out there and some extremely talented tattoo artists. I find beautiful, considered, works of art tattooed onto skin to be immensely sexy.

we both have tattoos.him more than her. have had since late teens/early 20's. we love them. done tastefully and with skill. unfortunately there are so many out there with tattoos who simply shouldnt have them. why? because the tatts make you look, and the looking is disturbing. because so many are just wrong. we agree with Justin. some people just shouldn't have them. or if they do, they should be well hidden.

I have wanted a tattoo since my late teens. Twenty years on I still have not found anything that suits my body, and that I would be happy to wear for the rest of my life. Anyway I have a birth mark that is not on display, and far sexier than some of the ink on display.

I am a noob to the forums and the site for that mater.I believe that tatts are as sexy as you want them to be. I have 2 that i can hide or display proudly depending on my mood. However in saying that i got them for me. They represent significant times in my life. There is a lot of beautiful artistic ink and a lot of ugly ink. But to each their own.Hubby doesn't have any as yet but if and when he does i believe it will ad to his sex appeal.Beauty after all is in the eye of the beholder.

For the last 2 - 3 years I been museing with the idea but I keep coming back to the same negative thought. Looks fine while I have taunt skin but boy, how bad do they look once the bod starts to age? The other put off is it seems every man and his dog has a tat these days. You can see them on every second guy or girl now, Im starting to think theres not much individuality in the designs because they all look pretty much the same.I only just returned from a few weeks in phuket where it seems everyone has them.So as it stands at the moment is I only wish I had the rights to the Singlet and T shirt market. I think the singlet people should pay a royality to the tattoo artists ... seems if you have a tat you must have a wardrobe full of singlets..... lol Mr JJ

For most people, including me, tattoo's are a personal choice, not something done while drunk on a night out. If someone made the decision not to get to know someone because of tattoo's, that is also their own choice, but you also run the risk of missing out on a person that you could really hit it off with. Too many assumptions are made because of the way a person looks, and once again that is a personal choice. But i'm sure no one likes to be stereotyped, I myself am very tattooed and they are not always hidden, and i also have piercings, 5 of which are clearly visible, yes i get followed around in shops by security, and i get stared at, and i have seen people cross to the other side of the road to avoid me, makes me giggle too be honest, I am also a nurse, a very caring one, who loves her work. I looked after a older man 2 weeks ago, and when he was being discharged, he said to the nurse in charge of our ward, that meeting me, and being looked after by me has taught him to never again judge a book by its cover. If only everyone could see people for who they really are, and not by the colour of their skin, their body size, their height, the size of their breasts, penis, the list can go on and on. Have a great day everyone !

i myself have numerous tatts, some can be hidden and some cant.i think its an individual thing u either like them or you dont,i have a half sleeve and must admit i get some weird looks from ppl or automatically brand you as trouble or a tart....and then i get some great comments.....i find tatts attractive...it represents a part of someone and maybea time in their lives.....yes sum tatts change shape an form in time which is to be expected.....all in all you dont have to like them you dont have to get them.but for me personally they are a work of art and a personal choice.....and i always say when u get bored looking at the face look at the tatts lol....sorry had to throw that in....

Quoting 'MrsPeachypear63' Tats are ok. Got nothing against them. They don't do anything for me most of the time though. There is one I adore where the woman has the hand of her child sitting above her breast where it would rest during feeding. Haha, the childs hand even has a heart in the centre. Sorry not hot lol.Oh, no I don't have any tats either and can't for the life of me think of one I would like to add to my tattoo artists doodle... pad hehe.MrsPeachy It's not about being hot or not- It's about self expression, and there-in lies the sexyness- It's like a little little window into that persons soul or thought pattern- You usually don't get a tatt for shits and giggles, its there for life, and is a huge decision!

Quoting 'wowwow09' I dont think they make you Hot or not Hot. I love tats and i have a couple but there mine i dont show them off and i like to see it when i look in the mirror but i often forget i have them. I dont show mine of I dont feel the need for people to know i have them soooo, you have two tattoos....... they are for you, you don't show them off and you like to see them when u look in the mirror.... THEY ARE BIG TITTIES!!! AREN'T THEY??? 3D like those boob aprons-type thing baaahaahaaaaa!!!!! It really wouldn't surprise me AT ALL lol!! But the bit where u often forget them, makes me think I am wrong... bugger I couldn't get a tatt while they are permanent, I can't even commit to a permanent hair colour! I wouldn't be able to stare at the same image for the rest of my life, that is just me thou... Plus wot suits me now, not so sure in 40 years...? that granny on the add, she is cooking and wearing perals a nice suit, hair in a bun and then her upper arm has a pammy anderson barbed wire tatt VERY funny makes me think teenagers who cover themselves in tattoos, arms legs, high on their necks etc especially with such things as Twilight.... (covering THEIR WHOLE BACK), where do they go from there when they are in their mid 30s and turned a conservative corner, let alone when they are 50 and they have random celeb faces and names!

We don't have any, they don't do anything for us, we find the natural look is sexy. Too many Tats is a negative for us we would feel intimidated, guess you look the gangs, crimes, etc and they normally have heaps and the subconscious is connecting.

I like Aussie Osborne's take on the question. I mean, is everybody a sailor these days? I have a young friend who has a very beautiful and original sleave.... designed it herself.... but last month I spot this arm and rush up to her... say her name.. grab her from behind.... guess what... it wasn't her! the fucktard who did the tattoo for her apparently was happy to sell them to everyone he saw and pass the design of as his own!!As me me... well, I don't know if I could ever design something, or choose a design... that I wold want on my body for the rest of my life. Oh, I love art. I'm artistic! That's the problem... no piece of art is ever "finished" to perfection.... there are always changes and tinkering... and its a progression from one piece to the next. Some ideas and concepts abandoned for others... time changes us.... are we ever truly avante guard? modern?.... how can you transgress the transgressive? Aussie Osborne might come across as a kooky old dude, but he 's always been a thinker... boils stuff down to the simplest essence to the point where people are fooled into thinking he's simple...the man's a genius.HugsStalky

However, they can be horrible when placed on an obese boob, a chubby cankle, or the small of a bogan's back. Lol.... Agreed...The canvas they are put on depends on the outcome... Hasn't any one ever heard of that boy who wanted a tattoo so badly, Went one evening to a tatt salon, picked out an 'asian symbol' because he thought it was "cool", had it tattooed on his shoulder, and loved it.....When showing off his tatt to the world, he noticed he was geeting alot of looks and laughs from chinese people around him...After alot of laughs and looks he decided to ask what they were laughing at....They responded by saying " do you know what your tatto says?"He replied with a proud response, " Yes, Strong and Peaceful"They laughed out loud.....Ity actually said " look at me... im one ugly boy..."make sure you know what you are getting inked onto your skin.......!

'narrow minded' for finding something aesthetically unpleasing? everyone has the right to pick n choose what they find pleasing or otherwise. why make us look at you when we really shouldnt? wouldnt you rather be looked at out of genuine interest than because of morbid curiosity?
