Taking a break

We've been on a break from playdates, lots of real life stuff that needs our full attention. It was planned and will last 4+ months all up. It's been good, we've nearly cracked a couple of times but we've kept our eye on the ball (instead of balling) and it feels like it's been the right thing to do although we'd have loved a bit of fun somewhere along the way. We're not on a break because we're jaded or disappointed or because we don't have some very sexy fun friends to hang with.... So it got me wondering if, how long and/or, why others here take planned, conscious breaks?

Just got tired of so many idiots thinking I would drop everything to spend time with them, had enough people in my 'little black book' to call upon and basically I needed some time for me. This is something I do on a fairly regular basis...youve got to do what right for you. The longest hiatus Ive taken before was about 6 months, recently I did it for 2 months ... sometimes life just gets in the way of my computer time lol. Enjoy this time together and only come back if you both choose to. Kisses Focus

We are in the same position.Very busy lives with not enough time to play.We are dying to get back into the swing of things, but our commitments are in the way.We almost feel embarassed loging on and having to ask people to wait for our schedules to be freed up.Hopefully most people understand that "we are busy" does not mean we are not interested.We have learnt to be upfront on this site and we would tell someone if we are not interested rather than find fake excuses.Maybe we should update our profile and let people know that we are just window shopping since we don't have any time to play right now.Love to hear other people's thoughtsTallNaughtyNice
