I am single , i think it is a great hobby ..You can choose whenever and with whom you would like to play with for your variety.. It obviously works for people to spice up their fun..Afterall us singles do too..Umm that much better with a nice couple ..

I'm unsure how a liberal attitude to sex elevates to a "lifestyle" all of its own. A lifestyle, I would have thought is also influenced by our education, profession, workload, inherent wealth, our environment and our choices of recreation, for instance... Sex is just one small component of living... maybe not a hobby... I mean to say.. collecting coins is a hobby... but banging your neighbour's wife is not really a hobby... maybe it's a part of a lifestyle choice.... rather than a "lifestyle" all its own... as for a "swinging lifestyle".... I think putting it that way elevates the choice too highly.... why do we prize sex so highly? Hugs,Stalky

Interesting thoughts Stalky.. I think only us people who love sex as we do, or the thought of it ..can and do relate so much to it.. lifestyle or hobby well who knows the anwser..it can be different for all of us.. The beauty of it is we talk about this stuff and experience it..We arent sitting on the sidelines wishing our sex life was better as some do..Cum one Cum all..in the same bed sometimes ..lol

For us it is most definitely a hobby and not a lifestyle as we use our swinging experiences for fun and games as we do not live it (if that makes sense)Shell and Gaz

I wouldnt consider swinging to be a lifestyle (living it) nor a hobby (a collection of numbers and/or notches perhaps...lol) but more a choice I make in which I use to expand my own experiences...this is the same now that I am single as it was when I was in a relationship in which we played together and apart...can I ahve something somewhere in the middle perhaps??? / Kisses Focus

We would like to say its a hobby, but then we looking at our internet explorer history and we have visited this site and another everyday. So everyone that has said its a hobby we would like to ask a question in return, do u log on here daily or even every second day? Because is a hobby something we do daily?.... But at the same time swinging is not in anyway what we live our life by, We would have to say its more something we choose to do in our life style but not our lifestyle. If that makes any sense... When we think of a Hobby...by definition a hobby is something done for pleasure and fun...we consider having sex with others a hobby. To us it is no different than bikie buffs going to bike meetings every weekend, enjoying spending time with others that have the same interest as you, some are really strange and like Triumphs and Dats. When we think of it as a Lifestyle...by definition, the way you live your life... It affects the way we view the world and the way we live our life and the plans we make for the now and the future. Our leisure time would be planned around what event is going on and/or who we can meet this weekend. Holidays are planned so that there is a club or event near by we can attend. The way we look and interact with people, even in the vanilla world, has changed. We voice our opinions on controversial issues more openly now than we used to in the past. We have activities outside of swinging but even then swinging occupies a large part of our thought process. Swinging is part and parcel of who we are. So agree with Focus a bit of both please, but leaning closer to a hobby.

Definitely a hobby not a lifestyle. Although logging onto sites like this are almost an obsession! Whether it's because we've become very voyeuristic, or simply because we enjoy reading some of the stuff in these forums (I think it's probably the pics though....lol). Also have to say sites like these are the only places we have ever made contact with swingers. How the hell do you recognise them in everyday life!I can't think of an occasion where we have changed our "normal" life just to accommodate swinging, but if we find we have unexpected free time then we can't think of a better way to spend it than in the company of other like minded people

really i just like coming on here chatting and seeing whats going on once in a while i meet up with someone but it is deffinately not going to stop me doing other stuff i have planned etc i think its more a hobby
