  I spent the whole weekend causing local flooding... which isn't exactly what you'd call helping. . But I did feel for the Qlders. They were being forced to wear closed shoes and wellington boots... which is just not natural! So I have been wearing my thongs as a sign of respect. I may down a XXXX or two too. . Of course Northern Vic has it's own flood crisis... but you know what - they seem a lot sookier about it on tele. Everytime we have a natural disaster here, someone's complaining about being the 'forgotten victim'. Happened after the fires... and now with the floods. They need to understand there is something far more exciting about watching a catamaran being ripped apart by a bridge pylon than someone sweeping mud out of their house. It's all about how you market your tragedy these days.

  I know what you could do Stalky - sell kisses at the Sydney drinks in order to raise funds for all the flood victims. . Or you could sell blue buddgie smugglers that say NEXT on them. . xx Meeka

It would appear that thongs (and endless news bulletins on QLD *eyeroll*) are accepted in almost any venue these days (much is the pity) - throw in a Southern Cross tattoo and some beer and I bet you almost become ... well, localised!
