Bradley. Part I – Say hello Bradley Every day he wakes up, he walks to the bathroom and looks into the mirror. A simple – routine occurrence. For this soul, it is different. He looks to see who he has become. Not figuratively. Literally. This man only has a few constants in his life. This man has a peculiar disorder. Perhaps disorder is the wrong word to use. Every day he wakes up, he walks to the bathroom and looks into the mirror. His eyes are the same colour, he is still of tall and lanky appearance, but he is not who he was yesterday. Today – his jawline protrudes. Today his nose is twice the size it was yesterday. His nose has a slight hook to it, and to his despair he is bald. He hates being bald. Let me introduce you to Bradley. A man with a peculiar gift. A man who steals for a living. A man with a voice in his head. My voice. “My name is Office.” “Say hello Bradley,” Bradley smiles, whilst looking into the mirror. “Hello” Part II – Let’s have some fun Bradley was born into this world without a known mother or father. His first recollection of his existence is at the age of four. Lying on the ground – eyes closed, lost in unconsciousness – a familiar voice beckons from within. “Wake up Bradley. It’s time we begin.” He wakes up in the middle of a field – soaked in water, shivering. Alone. His face is a blank canvas. No mouth, nose, hair or ears. His eyes are a beautiful dark green surrounded by nothingness. He walks towards the sunlight – it keeps him warm. A voice calls out to him. “Follow me, Bradley” The voice gets louder and a rush of warmth fills from within. “Don’t be afraid, Bradley.” Bradley gets up, his green eyes absorb the truncating beams of light coming from the sunlit sky. “You are special Bradley. Don’t be afraid. Come.” A path opens before him – the light shines down on a house situated on the top of a hill. “This is just the start. We are going to great things.” “We can do anything.
