4 years..... give or take a few months.....she had cervical cancer, then ovarian cancer, then a series of blood clots in her legs and a few pulmonary embolisms, and then Crohns disease, just to top things off............in that 4 year period, she spent 26 or 27 months in hospital.....and had 8 or 9 operations....most of them major.....

Years and years from when I was able, through my time of being a very good boy, to me starting to be a very bad boy at 21.It was alright then but I don't think it'd be alright now, which is why I joined RHP the very day my long term gf left me in January 2011. I really should have put more info at the start. I treat this site just like any other "dating" site. I don't just view folks here purely as sexual. I clearly state in my profile that I am time poor. by that I mean time poor, as a pretty normal working week for me is up around 80hrs. This why I am so often on here for a very short period of time and late at night. There are times I have been able to be online earlier on in the evening, usually on the side of the road in my truck. Great opportunity for meeting folks... not.... tehe. It is why I find it difficult to call some , Often the phone signal for "voice call" is too low but is ok for the net. But at the same time the "frustration" levels rise and fall... At the time of the new thread the level was a little high. Now having removed the big M u g sign off my forehead, I am now moving forward, turning things around and upside down. In time I know the light in the tunnel will be proven not to be a loaded freight train. :) I read a lot of the forum posts, comment a little and thought I'd just ask the Q in the frame of mind I was at the time. 4 Years ...I was married and he was going through a very difficult patch in life. I placed more value on my marriage than on sex or intimacy and therefore never once even considered having an affair.It was hell to be honest - in more ways than you could imagine.I've learned a lot since then Hanna xx

We have been together for over 19 years. Whilst there have been ups and down with the frequency of sex, caused by kids, a life threatening illness etc, the longest forced abstinence we have had must be about 15 days. I am regularly away for work for about a fortnight a month, so we make up for the time away when I am home. Swinging always leaves us rooting like rabbits for a week or so after.

It has been 2 years for me. After a few bad relationships I decided to put my love life on hold an focus on my kids. Now i am happy to say life is flowing smoothlt for us, Just lookin for that certain guy to make my world swoon... Although my track record for dating losers is pretty historical. But i havent given up hope it will happen one day.

Went through a period of celibacy for about 2 years. Spent the time healing, reflecting, growing as a person and seeing the world in a much better light. That was 18 mths ago. Unloaded all the baggage and discovered what true pleasures life has to offer! SF xx

3yrs for this man, back from trip over seas got the horn went mad, could hardly walk for 2 months the next day put my back out, then surgery, then things started falling apart relationship wise, then more surgery then drew further apart. Met some one of a site got on ended up first time back, on the beach at Swanbourne, what a welcome back that was, didn’t ejaculate but there was plenty fluids on from her side, never had a female squirt before so really was a good return and experience. Time after that was at home same woman two weeks later wont go on about how long or time but found my back is fully recovered and I could probably run a half marathon and use less energy. Did send the quilt for cleaning though as never thought some one could have so much fluid in them. As for climbing the ladder if confidence as in making first moves forward, it was a bit alien but she made it obvious what was going to happen so it went pretty good from my point of view. If you mean climbing the ladder to get back into sex, didn’t seem to have a problem there as I always wanted it just didn’t move on it and wouldn’t betray my ex. There may have been some thing subconsciously working as not ejaculating for so long but all good now…I thinkPrior, after first marriage split up 1990 went two years celebate but once got back into it wish i didnt have the time out thats a whole new story for some other time

Longest time without sex while in a relationship:- six months. I was married to a man who thought sex was 'messy' I asked myself at the time if I would have been better off married to a woman. It seems 4 years is a very common time to go without, I spent pretty much spent all that time focused on my daughter, working and studying. I had no time for anyone else, I am reaping the benefits of that time with no distractions. I have a lil girl that I am proud of and she keeps making me proud everyday, I have qualifications and I am position to negotiate my wages and my hours of work. It was a big sacrifice but it was well worth it. I must admit though it was a friend that came back into my life and that told me I needed to get some balance and start putting some time into my private life, I am and always will be grateful for that, she told me to join this site.

Months at a time while in a one and only monogamous relationship. Devastated when it broke up but the first thing I did was go and get laid and have been doing so ever since. I went monogamous because he wanted it but it is definitely not my philosophy and hopefully I will not be waylaid again. What a sad waste of sexuality! I am not closed to the idea of a relationship but definitely will be sticking to open ones from now on in.
