Someone who doesn't take life too serious cause life's too short?

Amused by how many people ask for this in their profiles! I take life extremely seriously. I take my health seriously, I take my family seriously, I take my job seriously, and when I have fun - it is some serious fun that few could keep up with! It's amazing how many people take it a little more seriously when they're lying in an ICU unit with tubes helping them breath... And what the hell??? Life isn't short! It's the longest goddamn thing you'll ever do! So it wouldnt hurt to take it a little seriously. Because you rarely get a second chance at it. Just my take.... When I read that, I figure im just not their type!

... i wouldn't take the term literally, or too seriously Apollo... to me, it just means having a relaxed attitude.

I think It's where words and terms change meaning - as they often do. Like you Apollo I take everything in life serious but am not necessaserily seen as a "serious person'. I am flexible and fun, don't sweat the small stuff and generally enjoy all there is too enjoy even the serious stuff. We tend to see 'serious people' as stiff boring and inflexible in their attitudes ... That's how I imagine people think when they refer to not taking life serious. Just my opinion. Sassy xx

is seriously funny.I am always highly amused by the human condition.We are so ridiculous with our obsessing about our self importance.The truth is we are not very important at all. Conversely we are important to the people who love us and we can make a difference to the peoplke we come in contact with, if we take what we do each day seriously. Laughter,humour,and enthusiasm for life is contagious....seriouslyx Hugs H

I went to see David Suzuki speak years ago and he shared a similar view on the human race . I was amazed to read a review in a local rag days later, apparently a lot of folk took offence -seriously! Maybe it's just something they write because they really don't know what to write in their profiles. Maybe they don't want a drama queen who will over react to everything. Who knows? it's a pretty vague statement.

I work in a job where I'm just a floor away from ICU serious, so fuck serious in life. I agree life is is to be lived so FUN is something to be had. I reckon the people who say don't take life too seriously mean the same thing as you do when they say this. you are dead for a LOOOONG time. Mike
