  The day before Ash Wednesday (which marks the start of Lent), its the traditional day of the community emptying its pantries of spoilable goods prior to the fasting for the Lent period. The community would come together to share their perishables and would feast. Personally I love Shrove Tuesday because of the premise of it, the sharing with one another. I spent an hour in the kitchen at work this morning making up pancakes for everyone, it's a nice day that reminds you that you're part of a group rather just an individual, the office smells delicous. Oh and I like mine hot with the slighest hint of butter. - Posted from rhpmobile

  I bought some sesame seed Asian pancakes from the local grocery store, warmed them up in a frying pan and slapped some maple syrup on them. Quite nice. Thanks for the prompt! - Posted from rhpmobile
