  I'd suggest another event to dip your toes. GLBTIQ events are usually pretty full on and cater for the group's shown. All orientations welcome of course but your profile has your male as straight. As long as he is comfortable with the setup, the event would be a blast but would have thought there would be something else more suited to your present situation

  Look up the Saints and Sinners in Melbourne. Find their web oage and on YouTube. It's an excellent safe and fun way to get introduced into the scene.   Check out kimmies parties there a good start in Adelaide run by very nice people always loads of fun also there is a good party on for nye at the producers bar run by switch should be a good night
