Perhaps an erotic novel or something arousing to read as you're quaffing that wine and allowing your sweater-puppies some free time?

Girl after my own heart When I was a young thing that lived with my parents and then flatmates for years, I only took my bra off for a shower and when someone else would during sex?! Having my hair literally so tight in a bun, or pinned by a million pins and lackey bands by my gay hairdresser mate b4 dance parties, that my eyebrows would slant upwards at the end, didn't bother me, and 6 inch heels simply felt like sneakers to me too (my mates could not believe my abilities in heels, we on a night out all ended up at the ocean, as there was no beach, just ROCKS and i hoped skipped and jumped over them like i was just walking a normal path, when they were all begging me to go bare foot, of course my memory of this was a little BLURRY i have always had prey good reflexes?)??? Oh and thought baths on my own, seemed just pointless as they took too long... That was then, this is now.... I barely pull into my garage, all clothes off, hair out, wash face of the annoying war paint which i barely bother with at times (in my early 20s I literally felt like a nude leper, if i forgot to put makeup on!?). I never saw the point of 1 glass of wine b4 either, it was 10 or none?! But that relaxing glass (of bubbles for me) and a bath, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. If i didn't have a fri or sat night busy 52 weeks a year it used to make me feel anxious, now when they are scheduled I feel anxious that i might miss my 'me' time that i have only just discovered!! Every age seems to have a different focus/Focus? Focus....Love ur threads (yeah ur matching g/bra sets lol), your topics ROCK girlfriend!

How many other 'sisters' are hiding out there you havent told me about???? . First Roxxy and I finishing each others sentences, sharing the same sense of humour and now the lovely MsBoobs....I seem to have got the same ability in heels - trust me I dont own many flats and my current favs have a decent heel on them too, a nice cold glass of bubbles, stripping down as soon as you walk through the door, matching underwear and now she tells me I rock??? MsBoobs - will you marry me??? . Oh I forgot to mention...opening a present you know someone has spent a lot of time thinking about..planning...they may not have spent a lot of money but they got that perfect gift for you (love that cheeseboard Mum!) . Kisses Focus I too forgot to mention the freshly mown grass, that is in my top 5 for sure :) and I sometimes wash/change my sheets more than once a week for that reason hehe got myself a king bed when i sent hubby off to marry his job and ma, and got the highest thread count Egyptian cotton sheets i could find and i sleep in the middle, diagonal, upside down (usually with the cat on top, but she is like a mink throw and the puring is sooo soothing)!! Thoughtful presents/hand made I lurrrrve! My all time favourite gift EVA(should be diamonds... BUT) for my 21st b’day my 2 BFFs (still are) gave me this wooden box and in it were 21 items with little notes attached to each of them. The 21 items were either the amazing/crazy adventures that we had had together, or the crazy stuff i got up to ‘without them ;)’ or about my personality (quirky apparently), over the years I have opened that box MANY times and laughed myself stupid as well as blushed. Just priceless, if the house is on fire, that is what i am grabbing on the way out!!

l A hot, hot shower at the end of a long, hard, days work. Working in the shearing sheds for years I used to say the best part of the day was the shower at the end. That first swallow of ice cold beer after mowing the lawn on a hot day, Kicking the shoes off after a full day of retail therapy The first sip of coffee in the morning. Gazing into the sleeping face of a little baby as they sleep in your arms. Picking seven different vegetables from the garden and steaming them for dinner knowing exactly what went on them while they were growing. Looking at a room that I have finished renovating and comparing it to the before pics...even better when it is the whole house...and I have done it all myself. l l Sisters Focus? I coulda sworn I'd kept track of all siblings.....must be my penchant for taking in waifs.

The feel of the ocean against my skin as I dive under the first wave; the smell of rain after a hot day in the bush; the sound of a magpie's warble in the morning; the taste of a good red wine; They are all simple pleasures that will always bring a smile to my face but the one thing that never fails and is the easist to come by, a smile on another friendly face. :)

I think it is great that so many people recognize the simple pleasures, and I find it interestings how many of them are similar. Especially those having to do with coffee, baths, taking off clothes, and getting into bed...Am I detecting a theme or a pattern here? My own list will be redundant, but here goes anyway: - Coffee- freshly brewed or simply freshly ground - A nice hot bath, the kind that turns your skin a little red - climbing into a freshly made bed - Standing in the shower, and just feeling it - The changing if the leaves...I love the changing of the leaves. - Seeing a genuine smile cross someone's face, especially if I can take credit for it. - Hearing the right song at the right moment...perfect! I am sure there are more. What is far better than listing them is that moment of recognition when you realize you are experiencing one. There are few better feelings in the universe. Thanks, Focus.

there are so many who have a liking for similar things (for me though you can all keep the coffee - ewww....but in kind can I have that first smell of nicely brewed leaf tea especially a russian caravan??) . oh and I need to add the sound of rain on a tin roof Quoting 'curiousnewgirl78' Resting your head on a soft deliciously plump naked breast (one of the best parts of being bi,IMO, being on the other side of it for a change!) xx Sarah I agree with Sarah on this statement...definately nothing quite like that feeleing . * The feeling of my mothers arms around me when things are just getting too much...(shhh I am a big softie lol) . Thanks so far guys and keep them coming - nothing quite like knowing what makes people smile . Kisses Focus

...something that gives me complete satisfaction happens twice a day....in the morning I love seeing Mrs Pup wiggle her naked bod out of bed and then at night I get to see her wiggle it back into bed. I just can't get up first as I never want to miss it and I get grumpy if the lights go out before she's naked at night. I love it so much that she's not allowed to wear clothes to bed no matter how cold it gets

The smell of rain coming... then the smell of the damp, wet earth after it has rained...and the smell of the earth cooling at sundown after a scorcher of a summer's day - these 2 scents are sweeter than any high end Eau de Parfum I have ever bought... Camping out with great friends and being able to see every star in the sky... A roaring fireplace in Winter..and not wanting to take your gaze from it... Give me the Country anyday... Oh, and Friday afternoons, just love Friday afternoons...

Nice post! I reckon I could pick lots of things that you and the rest of the gang have put forward, so won't go there again.Instead I will name a few of my simple pleasures that nobody else has mentioned yet.* Sitting out in the veggie garden first thing in the morning having a quiet coffee and smoke...just observing the goings on.* Feeding the Magpies* The smell of freshly baled hay* The piece, quiet and solitude of the farm.* Having a real conversation with my boys.* Giving Kj a big bear hug, or seeing her smile and laugh.* Watching a ewe with a new born lambCheers Nev

Quoting 'Letsgetcrazy09'The smell of freshly laid tar I can relate!! Not proud of these ones, but i have to admit I take a deep breath and go back for another (subconsciously a lot of the time!!)?? · Smelling white board marker pens or permanent thick markers · Taking deep breaths of freshly painted walls · Sniffing in the carcinogen’s of the brand new house and car · Taking deep breaths when filling up the car at a petrol station · This would be the strangest one, i don’t smoke, find it kills me when i friends smoke around me, i instantly feel blerr EXCEPT first thing in the morning, walking to work in the city where i often get a face full of second hand smoke as i am not feeling all that awake, ie. Hadn’t had coffee or brekky still in zombie mode, i find i do that take a deep breath things and the cigarette smoke instead of making me feel sick, it gives me a lift???? WEIRD huh?

The company of a sensual woman that is abundant with laughter. The smell of a puppy. The smile of a little child playing in a park. A cool change on a very hot day. A stranger that says hello. The words "don't bother wearing a tie we already know each other". Going barefoot. My big fluffy robe pulled out of a hot dryer on a cold day. Snow so deep you can't leave the house for days. The sound of my expresso machine on a Saturday morning. Brunch that lasts until the early evening. A cohiba before you light it. Picking up my guitar and finding that I don't have to tune it. When the electricity goes out and you have to burn candles. Friends that even like you when are wearing your worst baseball cap. Flying a kite on a really windy day. Laughing at myself when I do something really stupid. Ice cream. A new song that I hear that I like. A full Thanksgiving Day dinner with friends. That bottle of vintage scotch that arrives about once every two years. Getting through a whole day not swearing in anger. Rolling over and asking her if she wants coffee in bed. Cooking breakfast on the bar-b-que to annoy the neighbors with the smells in the air. Walking down Collins Street during the Spring Racing Carnival. Catching a fish and letting it go. The sounds and smells of an incoming tide on the beach at sunset. | Waking up in the morning and knowing that there are a lot more of these things that I can find that I really like on any given day if I try to find them rather than finding all the things that I don't like about that very same day. | Excpet for the snow...I would have to go home for that at Christmas.

Quoting 'Letsgetcrazy09' Relaxing.......on the beach.....in the outback.......sitting back watching a sunset Whilst I enjoy so many of the simple pleasures that others have posted above, a sunrise/sunset would have to be a fav. . Not just any sunrise/sunset though. I'm talking about those special ones. The ones you have all to yourself or share with that special someone. . I haven't experienced a good one for a while (basically since I moved to the big smoke a few years ago) but it usually goes a little something like this.... . ...Having just finished a long, long day or night's work (or both day and night at harvest time) you take a drive up to the highest hill on the property, the one where the vista spreads out around you for miles of miles. . You sit back on the bullbar or on the roof of the ute, crack open, or pour, your first drink and take a deep relaxing lungfull of clean, fresh air. Your stresses and worries just start blowing away on the breeze and you take a nice big stretch because you can. . The sky is 4/10ths full of medium/high cloud so that the setting/rising sun casts a beautiful palette of reds, golds, pinks and purples accross the sky. . There's no-one else around for miles and there's no movement, no cars or planes, not a sign of another human being. And in that moment right before the last bit of sun slips below the horizon (or peeps above it) it becomes dead calm and completely silent. You hear nothing but your own breathing and the thumping of your heart. It feels as though the world is just holding it's breath, waiting for the changeover from day to night or night to day. . . . . Then the breeze softly starts, the birds start their calls again and the night/day moves on. . That moment, that 30 to 60 seconds of complete calm and quiet, is simply magical. . A deserted beach, a mountain lookout and even a high rise balcony all can offer similar experiences. Anywhere with that view to the far off horizon. I've felt the calm at that moment in all of these places but have only experienced both calm and silence out in the country. . Of all the sunsets and sunrises I've seen I've only experienced it about 20 times and only once have I shared it with someone else. . So drive out to a deserted spot every now and then to disconnect, let your mind empty itself and just experience the wonder of nature. . As we all know the sun will rise again tommorrow..... but we never know when our last one will be. . Live, Laugh, Love. Rusty
