Shark Week for her, testosterone spike for me.

March 16 2019

In the name of science, I'm wondering if any other guys get super horny during their partners period? My libido goes through the roof during her menstruation. Not sure if its psychological (the fact that PIV sex isn't readily available) or chemical (pheromones). She doesn't smell any different, but I find her usual scent is irresistible during this time. The smell of her hair and skin were intoxicating to me before I left for work yesterday. I thought about her and sex most of the day, with a high school boner concealed under my desk at work for most of the day. Can pheromones last this long? Or was it the thought of not being able to get what I wanted... the primal equation of attraction + obstacle = desire? Period sex is possible, but its not spontaneous and the preperation and clean up is a bit of a drag. Butt stuff isn't an option as its never a 'main course' for us, more of a side dish. And BJ's take the edge off, but I don't feel satisfied if she's not getting off. I had broken sleep last night. Kept waking up thinking about all the dirty things I wanted to say and do to her. I feel like an annoying, needy child, but its like I'm possessed by a blood thirsty, horny wolf. Anyone else? Or am I the only one that stares at the calendar with a sad face and a raging boner during shark week? - Posted from rhpmobile

Biologically speaking Woman do not ovulate during their period and due to this fact there will be no point in “Mother Nature” releasing any pheromones to attract the opposite sex. If pheromones were to be released, it would be to coincide with her ovulating. So possibly it’s psychological on your part, due to the fact that you feel that sex is not readily available during this time. Some woman may feel horny during their period, but again this has got nothing to do with a biological need to copulate and produce offspring, but rather due to Estrogen levels declining, and testosterone levels spiking, during the week of menstruation.

Sounds like a very lethal shark attack (by a great white), where a person has been killed, all week. 🤐 You poor thing OP. A week without sex, must be very hard for you. Imagine how us females feel. It is not something we females desire either. Mother Nature can be a real bitch at times. Ms Foxy

Interesting DC36. Also interesting is that during and right after the period is when progesterone (hormone that suppresses sex drive) is at its lowest. Maybe these changes in hormones (along with increased testosterone, and a gradual increase in estrogen) are expressed through pheremones which are assimilated as a sign of early ovulation? Maybe some males are more sensitive to these pheremone changes. How about your males libido during your females menstruation? Any noticeable difference? Not looking for sympathy Foxxy! 😊 I see how my wife suffers on the lead up and during menstruation. Just interested to hear things from the males perspective. And yes, a week of no sex in our household is a sad week indeed! Lol... yeah, i've heard it referred to as 'shark week' a few times. Thought i'd use it in the title to make the post more click-baity... check mate! 😊

It's natural because you can actually smell subconsciously that they're more fertile. Yes I know biology.

LetsFrolic You wrote “ It's natural because you can actually smell subconsciously that they're more fertile. Yes I know biology.“ Lol seriously? You know biology do you ? You can “smell subconsciously”??? Lol Women are more fertile during their period? No they are not. In fact they cannot fall pregnant during their period. Ovulation normally happens around day 14.
