  More the other way round like locals preying on tourists ? Walk down any street and you will be harassed by the locals all the time.. Just the way it is there.. I know what your alluding to and fortunately I've never seen it , as I'd imagine the majority of tourists don't .

  You don’t have to travel to Thailand to be harassed by the locals. My working day starts with walking from Flinders St station to the CBD, dodging professional beggars, tinrattlers, stepping over druggies and the genuine homeless and lately, and sadly, cars. The problem of being harassed by locals is universal

  I'm hearing you' and I'm not dismissing what you had to say because I know the things you mention are real. But as Thailand is one of my fav destinations ' I feel somewhat compelled to right some myths . I'm sure if you google the number of tourists who visit the island of Phuket every year vs those who go on a sex holiday you'd be surprised. The thing to remember is tourists ' especially males' are always targeted to be dragged in for massages.. which from my observation most refuse ? Its true they can cater for just about anything you care for .. To the Thais it's a living , to westerners it's something new and that's why it works.. So no , I don't see it as Thais being preyed on . Unfortunately, you will get the occasional sick puppies we all frown on . But that doesn't represent what Thailand is all about .

  What’s happen to Melbourne? I loved away for nearly 10yrs, I find myself back home and the city is filthy, in a lockdown mentality, professional beggars being abusive, which puts a stain on all those who are in genuine need. Also people are pushy on trains, buses and it seems people are just plain rude. What happened to manners and decency? Sorry, I’ve ranted on..ohh and yes Thailand is an interesting place...good way to meet other westerners. I had a ball in Bangkok! - Posted from rhpmobile

  Hua Hin is probably one of my favourite locations to visit, lush hotels right next to the beach so if you feel like a midnight romp in the sand you’re literally right there, BKK for the metropolitan lovers, so many places in BKK to choose from. Phuket for obv reasons and diversity in locale and differing levels of privacy. The world (or country in this case) is your oyster so perhaps discuss with your partner first and then arrange with a couple or two that will going the same time OR simply wing it and let your ears n feet lead the way once you land.
