have these "Flash-Backs" that you are currently experiencing Anti.. I blame the unhealthy and often deadly toxic fumes and chemicals I have been exposed to over my working life in the mines. Which is actually the truth too.I MET the people who introduced me to them at work.. therefore I SHOULD be able to claim "Worker' Compensation" for the negative reactions to the fumes and toxins..

In England alone in 2007, nearly 2.7 million people were injured in a home accidents In the United States, injury in the home is the leading cause of death among children and young adults according to the National Safety Council. That same group states that in 2002, there were more than 33,000 deaths and 8,000,000 disabling injuries that occurred in the home

Why do travellers feel safe travelling alone at night and stop at Wolf creek. It is not like Mick Taylor is going to go looking saying, "I'm going to find yooooou. DAM! There you are hiding under the blankie ". 😂 Ms Foxy

Physical space where is ever completely safe but we can minimise danger. Head space..we can protect ourselves from negative people choose to be positive despite what happens to us. Creative space..we can practice whatever nourishes us..singing,dancing.painting writing, composing etc.if we just do it for us and not worry about what others may think ,then this can be a safe place. Emotional space...the trickiest one of all.Once again we need to be aware of our reactions to others and to circumstances.I am not sure if Nietzsche was completely right when he said"what doesn't kill you will make you stronger" I choose to minimise my contact and engagement with negative people ,negativity is like a contagion and I would rather not be affected. I like a lot of what Q said, however, after an incident a few years ago, there are now none, for me. Perhaps one day my perception will change to a limited degree, perhaps not. .. Mr. urn. .

Smiles and peace and positivity The simplest of things are what I take energy from. For example: The fact that the rainy clouds had disappeared enough to allow me to witness the Eta Aquariids meteor shower in the wee hours of Sunday morning just gone. The way the 2 bush turkeys are there most mornings as I walk down the hill into work for me to share a few almonds and walnuts. The grade I just received on a paper that I laboured and surrendered 3 weekends to attain. The warm sun and chilly air at the moment. Peace, love, positivity, patience, tolerance and respect. My modus operandi gets be by a-okay on my journey through. Anti your capacity for the ability to reflect is admirable. 👊✌

My safe place is in the wind... I silently leave the clouds to make my graceful decent to all that lies beneath me, it’s quiet, the bright light and chilled air keep me comfortable on my journey, gently cradling me as I make my way towards the path I wish to follow. Then some cunt disagrees with my ideals and all of a sudden I slip straight through to hell and melt 😂

Serious though I went to training last week about creating safe spaces in workplaces to support staff who have had issues with mental health at work. It was very thorough in exploring how this can be incorporated into the structure of an organisation. Good to see and thought provoking.

I have nothing to add to this thread as don't have an opinion or insight on "safe places". Just wanted to say what a thought provoking topic Anti and thankyou for posting it.

One persons safe place might be the totally opposite for another person. If someone is an introvert for example just walking into a room full of strangers can be terrifying. An extrovert on the other hand may feel empowered by the experience. The adrenaline rush of fear is not necessarily a bad thing if you are a stand-up comedian or performer,it's actually what provides the "fuel". Indeed many people choose to occupy unsafe places that have a risk factor attached to them,eg sky divers.abseilers etc. Because we are alive just living is an unsafe thing to do:) Hugs Q

EQ, that is good to hear, with the amount of mental health issues that arise because of goings on in the workplace I think it’d be good for people to have somewhere to go. At my work we used to go out the back, then someone accidentally set our little safe place on fire with their cigarette & we all got banned from going out there, hahaha. Back to the drawing board....

Quoting 'Phoenix_Rising' My safe place is in the wind... I silently leave the clouds to make my graceful decent to all that lies beneath me, it’s quiet, the bright light and chilled air keep me comfortable on my journey, gently cradling me as I make my way towards the path I wish to follow. Then some cunt disagrees with my ideals and all of a sudden I slip straight through to hell and melt 😂 I just started back at work today after holidays - I felt refreshed and ready to rock and roll. All the things that were getting on my goat prior to my holidays were gone, I was looking forward to taking a fresh approach and keeping the murderous thoughts at bay for as along as possible. I rock up to work and find I have to work with an absolute, custom-made, cut-glass cunt who insisted on pushing my buttons from the very first minute. Holiday over, holiday definitely over.
