Romney versus Obama..

November 07 2012

Not really into American politics but, I must say.. I don't believe politics and religion are a good mix. I can't imagine a Mormon man.. who makes, what was it.. 2 million.. or 2 billion dollars (either or.. he makes more than the average American blue collar worker I'm sure..) can really represent the 'bulk' of the people he seeks to.. on the world political stage. I'm watching with interest to see who takes it out..

Looks like Mr Obama took the cake.. with mixed opinion .. I have a relative in America at the moment (Facebook), who is stating at this time, she 'feels ashamed to be American'..

is a weird animal no doubt, it's got me beat how it functions at all. There are so many vested interests, particularly amongst the Republicans, at the moment it seems to be the right and the further right.Personally I think Romney is just dangerous, While I personallydon't think Obama is great, but a lesser evil than Romney.Personally my own leaning is centre, centre right, or more probably more acurately Pragmatist, So to me Romney is to far right.Despite all the fuck ups with their vote casting system's it all seems to come together. As far as mixing religion, well that seems to go hand in handwith anything the Americans do.Let's not forget that it is the Electoral college that will elect the President, not the people, although they do usually vote with the peoples choiceit's not a requirement.Cheers Felonious

I hope they give him a fighting chance Celebree...from what little I understood, the .. is it congress.. who keep blockading a lot of his proposals. How do you turn anything around.. if you cannot co-operate with your own elected leader to get things done. Like I said.. I am not really familiar with the runnings of American politics but.. no matter what your persuasion.. surely, 'co-operation' is a necessity, especially when faced with such uncertain financial times.

Also another who is in the defense force there (but currently in Afghanistan) They are having a hard time there ,,,. but one can only hope they give him the chance to assist the country as required and not still his events.

Obama was destined to get in for a second term. It was not even a probability he would fail. The majority of his cabinet are wall street slime who would sooner spit on the worthless goyim that make up the majority of the US citizenry. He is the epitome of the problem. America, and I suspect the Anglo-American Alliance in general, are an autocratic ogliarchy, so technically it makes no difference who wins or loses, because secretly and behind closed doors its a privately run corporatist dictatorship with heavy military leanings, that should Obama's national free health care scheme, and I do stress the word scheme, go ahead... it will turn the entire american country into a group of violent right-wing national socialists who are salivating at the thought of white collar slavery, before the red dragon takes over. I hate to say it, although there is no coming back from a 33 trillion dollar debt and once the oil dries up, they're fucked. As usual, money talks and bullshit walks. People seeem to conveniently forget that Obama is among other things a half-arab, with a Hussein suffix, not to mention the 9th cousin of George W. Bush, and the 11th cousin of Dick Cheney. So under the circumstances, evidence permitting.... I can't say I'm at all suprised and I'm even less likely to believe in coincidence. Even the electronic voting machines were "glitched", so I don't know.... I'd be ashamed to american right now. Dumb cunts that they are. Oh well... america has a rich history of baseball, freemasonry and presidential assasinations. God bless america!

It is just about the same with every english speaking country, USA, UK and Australia as they are tied governments with roughly equal representation on both sides. Reform of any economy will not happen quickly with tied hands. I am thankful that Obama had the guts to hang in there for another term, remember he is doing the best he can with what he has to work with. Somehow I feel the world is safer because he will remain the President. Australia is lacking in decent political leaders and I feel very uneasy with this government.

and eternally grateful for a Hurricane called Sandy - it would have been a different result otherwise.   As an American I fully understand American politics (thanks Ohio for calling the shots ..yet again !!!) ...I wasnt impressed with either of the candidates and for the first time ever I voted (as a expat) for the party not the man....   So Obama, your economy was stimulated last week (is that a sigh of relief I hear) and this time America was ready and waiting for the disaster at hand but 50 billion ..oh that hurts..   .........................now bring the boys back home from Afghanistan. The word Vietnam keeps resonating...   And yes OP Romney is a multi billionaire, but has no real concept or idea of what the average American is currently struggling with and there is no way a Morman was gonna make it there, they will put a Jew in first before that happens, but a Jew wont ever run, we are much better at manipulating and pulling the strings behind the scenes... (I know Im Jewish :) )   - voting is not compulsory - 23-25 percent of people vote and no doubt the turnout will be lower this year..   At times you do get the government you deserve

watch another channel. CNN or BBC news maybe or Huffington Post. I would've voted for Obama, I don't really like the Republicans, I use to watch this show called Real Time with Bill Maher, they talked a lot about american politics but with a comedic twist. Pretty funny but the host keep reiterating most of his hate for Republicans but he did his best to keep it unbiased, just that the Republicans gave him more material especially during the 08 election with McCain/Palin. Lol yeah Palin what a joke.. Didn't watch it this year though probably should have..If you guys haven't watched The Campaign with Will Ferrel and Zack Galifianakis you should if you want a good laugh with a heart warming twist.

is in some ways like our parliament and in others very different.   The Congress is like our house of reps and the senate is like our senate.   The main difference is the President is elected by the people directly, not, as in our country by the parliamentary party with the majority of members.   I personally like our political system.   Its a bit messy at the moment, as politics usually is.   Anyway Obama seems to have his head stuck on the right way and things might improve....   No one seems to want to talk about the elephant in the room, population control.   The republicans are HUGE on right to life issues, religion, gun"control" and fear so many things.   The democrats are HUGE on birth control, religious freedom, gun"control" and fear so many things.   Pretty much politics as normal.....   Mike

I don't want to be a pessimist but rich guys controlling the congress won't let any president have control.....you had to watch Fox(redneck)News for weeks?!? ... You poor woman Devious.....you see that's the sought of shit I'm talkin about. The congress controls the country, while media controls the minds.Romney wanted to shut down PBS, the public broadcasting company (they responsible for Sesame St and the Muppets). I think that's what lost him the election, you fuck with cookie monster, you're walkin on thin ice chump! Funny you don't hear anything about China's elections that's happening and that's who's buying all our food, minerals and property.....I suppose it doesn't make for good TV.

I hold a fractionally less darker view than Nick's, and whilst I do have a decent understanding of the American political system, I find the whole process (or rather, the show) pretty fascinating, yet a little repulsive to watch. .That's all the useless contribution I am adding here, especially seeing as I have come to this forum late, when all of my argumentative, knowledgeable bluster has left me for another few years. Perhaps I will contribute my thoughts about gross and flagrant abuse of democratic rights and a largely apathetic voting public when we go to the polls next year. These thoughts will be just as valid then for Australia, as they were last week for the United States..Countries are not governed by politicians. At least, not any that you will ever actually see..Flirty x
