.... Romantic getaways to get the blood boiling .....

I invite you to be a travel writer and set the scene for a perfect luxurious tryst in your location as inspiration for your RHP kin .. To get you started ..... .Cape Lodge, Margret River/Yallingup Western Australia ..... this week I had the privilege of staying at Cape Lodge, Margret River/Yallingup wine country ....and feel like writing an article for the Tripadvisor sealed section ;) ..... what a sensational place .... shall we say for the 'carnally inspired'... .....A beautiful Cape Dutch building of the early 90's, surrounded in European inspired gardens, deciduous plantings and vineyard ....... overlooking a tranquil lake. The lush green shrubbery lending intimate privacy to the well appointed suites ..... generous spaces .... and capturing some of the Afrikaan elements ... shutters, scalloped facades and small terraces ..... puts one right in the mood. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, with all of the accoutrements of a truly sensational carnally inspired romantic retreat. .... Cape Lodges claim to fame is the food ...... yum .... a to die for degustation dinner of 5 courses, which we enjoyed 'wine matched' served in front of roaring log fires, by attentive continental staff ..(if not a little comic ... ala Manuel ex Fawlty Towers .. or was that Flowery Twats ?) ..... brekkies were special, over looking the tranquil lake with classical music creating the score...... after dinner drinks in front of the fire crackling its heart out to a jazz diva's sultry call ... I am by nature a voyeur ..... and had wild speculations of the nature wild trysts of my epicurian fellow travelers, whom all seemed to be also enjoying themselves as they whispering their sweet nothings in hushed tones. ps should the blond woman at the next table, with mole skin jodpers and step machine thighs want to do back to back weekends... Im up for it .... now wouldn't that have the staff doing a double take Cost outrageous ..... experience priceless ( Mastercard moment)

Give me a privately rented house with a spa and full beach frontage, on an essentially deserted beach with wild and wooly weather. Mmmm! Not as far south as Margaret River, I'm not into long drives. :-P . Breathing deeply, Peachy :-)

It is indeed Cape Dutch, something that we have not seen in Australia, but typical of the Cape Dutch buildings that were built in the Cape Winelands/Cape Town, South Africa in the 17th century. Thanks for sharing, we will make a plan to stay there soon. - Posted from rhpmobile

I have stayed there twice, once back in the 90's i think when it was just the 2 mail buildings, and another time after the extension dining room was added and the additional units at the back.As you say, a pretty penny, but with the right company, definitely a way to make any woman's heart melt..., . Romantic getaways to get the blood boiling ....
