Please explain??

September 30 2012

I've seen this warning on a few peoples profiles   Sydney University and all other institutions using this RHP site or its associated sites for projects, research or studies in any form - You do not have permission from me to use any of my profile or pictures in any form or forum both current and future. If you have or do, it will be considered a violation of my privacy and you will be subject to legal ramifications.   Can someone explain how they use information they find on sites such as RHP? And more importantly why we should be concerned??

Of who is gullible enough to believe that warnings like that actually extend to you any further privacy protection than you would have if you didn't include a warning on your profile. If anyone knows anyone who for reals has had personal details on their profile used by Sydney Uni I would love to talk to them, but I bet you don't.xx Sarah

When i see that i always thing "poor paranoid bugger".The side point being If some tertiary institution is doing some studies on human behaviour, good on them, we need more of this in our community. I can only imagine good can come from it.It's the internet people. Post at your won risk.

Some of the universities had people contact members of various sites, to answer questions about their life style in regards to their psychology and counseling courses . They contacted members from AMM, RHP, RSVP, and other sites to try and gain a perspective in how to work thru counseling sessions with clients who had issues with cheating spouses and to understand why people join different sites .. It was predominately done about 10-15yrs ago .. and I understand when I updated my counseling course recently, that the university cancelled that part of the practical course.. .. might have had something to do with the big number of fake profiles, or that fact that the lifestyle is more predominant and accepted now to what it was 10-15-20 yrs ago .. Some people might have been subjected to it years ago .. and just simply carry it thru their profile year after year .. others copy it from an older profile ..
