I only recently noticed myself that, when I took my shots for my PG, my little boys spiderman outfit was hanging on the door knob behind me. Sorry if it confused anyone. No, I'm not a super hero.

and....A cluttered House = a cluttered mind....Flipping the bird, tongue poking out as if they were doing the Hakka, dirty bathrooms mirrors.I doubt some people know, realize or care how much a picture can reveal about a persons character.

Some of the Pretty Pathetic Pics....Every photo has the person with a cigarette in their hand or mouth, yet their profile states "NON SMOKER".Profile states "SINGLE" yet the wedding ring can be clearly scene in the photo.Profile describes tall, slim blonde, yet the pics show short, blonde and overweight...Pics show guys in various endeavours with a woman (but you often can't quite see the guy), what is it, advertising you have got laid at least ONCE!

I always look at the decor in the background. Comment to my hub, oh my god, look at the bedspread/the verticals (funny, hes usually not interested) I agree, messy backgrounds do speak volumes about people.

Love the crap pictures cause then they think maybe a professional shot or two But then you can see the same background in a lot of my pictures due to being in a studio, and I do not always get that right either. If I could shoot outside I would, but I cant be running around the park with a horny guy or couples or group just to get a nice rosees in the background affect. Mobile phone cameras have a lot to answer too! thouhg now with the movie thrown in every one can be a porn star. Forever! once it hits the cyber land its there forever. We are all visual creatures, its a survival imprint thing. As we are also social creatures we tend to look at the habitat behind if it looks like the uni student bachelor pad thing it does not work

Please ,these artfully composed backgrounds are all in the style of Tracey Emin.An ernormous amount of time ,energy and effort has gone into the seemingly random placements of objects. My absolute favourite is the kitchen plus laundry scene complete with cascading dirty washing basket in right hand foreground. The juxtaposition of purple lingerie clad woman in foreground with said basket is nothing short of sheer genius. Assorted dirty dishes all add a disonance to this chaotic compositions structure. I congratulte the artist on such a well constructed photo montage. You have done Tracey proud. xHugs H.

I love looking at the background of photos, see what posters or art are on the wall if any, if they have plants, what sort of music they might be into, fluffy beds (haha always nice) are there any whips in the background (scary!) etcApart from my profile photo I haven't got any inside photos yet because I shop at Ikea and I wouldn't want to offend anyone with the backgrounds haha, because it looks like an IKEA showroom (minus the arrows on the floor!) and I don't know what that says about me either!

Pictures taken in a grubby environment suggest a grubby person. If that's what you're looking for, great. Most of us aren't though, I don't think. Most of us a drawn to someone with a little class.

...not to try to make a phone call using my Nikon, Canon or even pocket sized Olympus the I promise never ever ever to use a damn phone to take a picture. Why........some gorgeous women here, backgrounds even junk could be made to look sexy (ask Andy Warhol, ask Ansel Adams) but there is nothing sexy about the back of your goddam camera and worse when the flash goes off in the mirror and totally wipes out the pictures. Too, if you're a paid member...why not verify your profile? That way, even if you use pictures that are metaphorical...it adds credibility to the ones that are often best left in a private gallery...*shrugs* but that's just me. | Quoting 'mrsdior' I agree, messy backgrounds do speak volumes about people. And I know the light-box effect when I see it...not impossible but generally studio. I shoot macro a lot at home in my small studio...strange what the eye perceives and the mind believes. Or not...but then again I am always so focuses on a great ass I go blind. | Braille ... like reading a good book.

I tend to take theuir Picture into consideration as it speaks volumes about them..Usually their Profile mirrors this ..If a guy has a Pic taken he's half drunk or stoned usually has a Drink Positioned in the front of him ..His Profile is usually wscant..This shows me he tends to be a sloppy Lover not interested in My needs only his gratification.. I don't go there... However if the Pic is very artistic he tends to have an Intelligent fun Profile ..I would pursue further Contact between us.. Just sharing a moment a Black and white Pic with the lighting just right on a sexy Guys Naked body mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nothing gets me more Interested and hot flushes he!he! YUM!! Enjoy Lu :)

..... unless you're talking about the tools using them. Seriously, it's how you use it.I'm not trying to promote myself (well maybe a lil_bit) but I thought I should step in and say a word in defence of mobile phone cameras. Only 2 of over 100 pics on my profile were taken with anything other than my 5 mega pixel Samsung f480i mobile phone, it's 10 second timer, the inbuilt effects and filters program and my imagination. (oh, also a leaf and a dragon that I borrowed) I wouldn't even really classify myself as an amateur photographer, I know very little about lighting, but I do enjoy expressing myself, experimenting and having fun through my photos. I'm sure that many people wouldn't even have a clue about the inspiration behind some of my poses, I still post them because I had fun taking them and some of them I think are not too bad at all. .I'm all for seeing more wonderful, creative and fun pics on people's profiles. Failing that, I agree with you all that with a little thought and a quick cleanup, there's no reason why people can't have a nice picture of whichever part of themselves they wish to show. .CheersRusty

Quoting 'Hesione' Please ,these artfully composed backgrounds are all in the style of Tracey Emin. That's the spirit, Hesione! And the bathroom shots feature original Duchamps! I don't mind the backgrounds so much. It's the 'no photos' that make me wonder what the point is!
