This is a word I'm hearing more and more lately, and I have to say its one of those words that makes my skin crawl :/ What on earth are you trying to say ? I mean if I want to be pampered I'll go have a massage, facial, and pedicure ......yes yes all of these can be twisted into something utterly dirty Lol...but not what I meant! It's almost as bad as the msgs offering to treat me like a princess ughhh ....creepy much? I was also asked the other day if I've ever been pampered properly.....wtf ??? Does he mean he wants to embalm me and harvest my skin :O ????

    Pampering can sound a bit creepy. It conjures up thoughts of a stranger giving you a foot massage or someone feeding you grapes, which might work at a Toga party if the pamperee was vestal virginesque looking with a sinful glint in her eyes.   Oh for the the good old days of Roman orgies, they knew how to have fun :)

    I dont want to be pampered. It sounds a little too much like comforting and not stimulating the senses. Not something I would associate with raw sex!

    Had to go for a dictionary, to confirm:pamper vb (tr)1. to treat with affectionate and usually excessive indulgence; coddle; spoil2. Archaic to feed to excess.... and ...To pamper is to gratify appetites, tastes, or desires; to cater excessively to someone or to his or her desires or feelings.I think that the OP and Drift may relate to the word as conjured up for advertising for Day Spas, Massages, etc. where you get pampered. Very light weight.I prefer a more heavy-duty pampering and certainly am happy to be spoiled, to be treated with affection and excessively indulged ... and to also pamper the pamperer, so that the pamperer becomes the pamperee.Rox

    I get da shibbers whenever someone suggests they spoil OR pamper me I dont want to be spoilt, by a fwb, I want a mutual attraction/passion/lust/rip each others clothes off situation.Its the kind of thing a man says when he's 'priming' you.......blerk, keep it!!!

    I want a five start hotel. I want room service. I want a spa and some chocolate and a new book to be on the pillow case And then you call me And say hi hon, are you enjoying yourself? Sorry I cant be there but you know how it goes, I am away on business but enjoy. I actually had a guy do that for me, never met him. He booked me a hotel, and had that waiting for me and I had a great weekend away. On my own Some guys have good imaginations at times. Something I will always remember. A gift from a stranger who did not want a thing in return. I do like to be pampered

    I enjoy it , I like being spoilt by men, I enjoy fine food, fine wine, indulgent luxuries. I like feeling loved and looked after . Having said that I have my own business , earn more than most men , and I am very capable of looking after myself . It's just nice every now and then to have a man pamper me.

    But not all the time.. Just the odd occassion when he thinks I've worked too hard or need time out.. But a stranger saying it make me cringe.. Its like the guys who call themself a stud... that also makes me cringe..
