Ok Crackup..you know my profession and background and if you were considering having anything other than dental work (ie; Boob job) done I would be a little hesitant in you having it done overseas (for obvious reasons to us both) , however as you are considering Thailand, then not so much. I know many Australian, English and American doctors who have been trained in their respective countries that are now working at these hospitals. Many of the Thai doctors have also trained in these countries to the highest standards and are now home completing their degrees under supervision. Most of these hospitals in Thailand are American/Australian/English owned and built with many Australians on staff. I was offered a job myself last year in Bali – and you know my quals….(kicking myself I didn’t take it..cause life in Perth is so bliss..haha) but anyway… Although I have not had any work done personally – (god if I started I probably wouldn’t stop, ) I would be very comfortable in recommending Thailand based on what I know thru my own profession. In some cases, their standards are higher than ours, especially in infection control and the nursing from what I hear (in my job ) is first rate. Now having said that, the down side is this…if anything goes wrong…bad luck, one of the reasons that medical treatment is much cheaper in Asia, is that the surgeons do not have to carry medical indemnity insurance which is compulsory in Australia..and costs the price of a Perth house to pay each year….so bottom line, if something goes wrong..no lawsuit…suck it up…and no recall…….this is something you should factor in (and no travel insurance does not pay and you cant insure against a fuckup) ………..but like I said I would myself happily have surgery done in Thailand, Singapore (although Sing is much dearer)myself ….however there are countries that I wouldn’t have work done in and that includes most of southern Europe… A girl I work with had her boobs done in Thailand..beautiful job and another friend of mine had liposuction, facelift, boob job and teeth whitening…all brilliant jobs and scary how cheap it all was……I just hope that the standard can be maintained…and last tip……research, research, research… Ok….so when are we off ?...Boobs, beaches and Bellini’s…love it

Being a medical doctor myself originally from the Philippines, I always had my dental procedures done with GAOC Dental in Manila. My dentist Dr. Gan did his residency in California. Always works like a charm. I know they have an Australian partner called Meditour because I saw so many Australian patients there.
