Oils and other products

oil

This is a question about supplimentary oils/creams/lubes and other enhancements to sex. Obviously there are sex-based products and lubricants for sale, but they often don't taste very nice, as you can often find out during varied play sessions. While most oils and general skin products aren't suitable for internal use, I have seen from various sources that plain natural grapeseed oil/almond oil/coconut oil are widely used down there (for a lady), as well as for overall massage. Of course, oil based products are detrimental to latex condoms and other devices. Any other additives are risky. And there is always the risk of unknown and unexpected side-effects/reactions/infections. I have seen educational videos using things like "body butter" on the male genitals (for masturbation by yourself or by the partner). I have had a lady (in a couple) use a particular body/skin product on me down there (by hand) that they recommended and used themselves, which felt fantastic (much better than lube) but I can't remember what it was. What have people used that was safe down there for both parties other than standard lube? Which ones can be used for all over massage without having to worry about keeping away from certain areas?

to lubes, they're not all made the same. The cheap ones generally aren't all that great, but there are good quality ones that feel much nicer and can be used for massage as well, with the benefit that you don't need to worry about keeping it away from particular areas and they're safe with latex. Sliquid is a good brand to check out.

hasn't had any detrimental effects on my silicone vibrator but water based Sliquid is easier to clean off. Some people react badly to coconut oil too so even though it's nice for massage caution is needed.

Coconut oil, use it as lube, as a face and body lotion and for cooking. It smells divine too and leaves you so smooth ........

for massage (all over) on me and others. You can give a truly divine two handed hand-job with it and it tastes great if you want to get your mouth involved. It also has the added advantage of being anti-fungal and anti-viral so you really don't need to worry about where it goes. I find it works fine with silicon toys, but for condoms I use a silicon based lube. Anal play also requires something a little thicker than your normal water-based lubes and you can buy specific lubes for that purpose although again, I find regular silicon lube to be great for that.

for those of you who use coconut oil. I've read that it stains bedding / clothing and the stains are hard to remove, have you had any issues with that? (sorry OP, hope you don't mind me asking this on your thread but it is info that you would probably be interested in as well).

Quoting 'Luck_Dragon' for those of you who use coconut oil. I've read that it stains bedding / clothing and the stains are hard to remove, have you had any issues with that? (sorry OP, hope you don't mind me asking this on your thread but it is info that you would probably be interested in as well). Yes I've heard maybe, but so do other liquids :) I think the benefits would be worth it though, I would just use a sacrificial top sheet or cover in any case, like I do with any massage ;)

Bought some the other day but it smells like cooking oil, and I wouldn't put it anywhere near my body because of that. Is it just the brand I bought?

There is a sensual oil called Wild, really nice about $50 a bottle. We go through too much to afford it, so grape seed oil we use all the time, it's great for the vagina and all it's wonderful little pleasure spots, edible too. It's not Tara's favourite smell but there is always a fresh bottle when we run out of it.A litre for $5 a week is quite affordable :) Mado Tara xx

Quoting 'Astrild' Bought some the other day but it smells like cooking oil, and I wouldn't put it anywhere near my body because of that. Is it just the brand I bought? If you get a virgin, cold-pressed oil it smells deliciously coconutty...
