I am the age that I am, no amount of lying will change that.My profile states my preferred age from 34 and I was recently approached by a gent whose profile had him at 33. He wrote me and assured me that he was actually 39 and that he had "shaved off a few years, like everyone else". Hmmmmm that would put me at 50 then, if "everyone is doing it" .....DAMN!! I look FANTASTIC for a 50 year old!!

I applaud the ladies who replied to this... you all look gorgeous at 43, 47 and 50... hope I look that good when I am 50.tomo - hahaha serious in here? you don't go into that chatrooms huh? lol theone... so true :) hahaI just commented on that cause it bugs me how people want to think others are stupid. If you clearly don't look 20 and you look more like 40 don't say you are 20 then *slaps to the forehead* Be proud of your ages is all I say. :D

Well age deception exists - doesn't worry me so much as how we hit it off. Personally I am straight up and state my age - have met a few who were clearly lying and even if they were not did not please my tastes so I passed. One who did lie but we had fun for a while anyway was not too outrageous so it was fine by me. I guess some are 'insecure about their age' have a weird idea that they will not be noticed on the waythrough to a real life meeting. For me it seems weird and counter-productive in the long run.....CheersArcher65

52, well 52 1/2 now :) . I did ask in a topic a few weeks ago, 'Who tells the biggest little white fibs about their age -Men or Women? I am happy with my age, all the years that have gone into forming the person that I am today, all the lessons learnt, the little wrinkles earnt, they all have a few stories behind them. . I am also a realist. Whilst I could pass myself off for a younger age, I really cant see any reason to do so. I am here to meet guys, face to face, so what is the point of pretending? . I am the age I am, take it or leave it .

Well MissBJ I think at 49 Stalky can be forgiven for falling and slipping occasionally, and if a pole happens to go up his bum well you know he probably doesn't even feel it at that age. By the time he gets up he is probably forgotten why he was smiling in the first place. Hehehe ... I am sure Stalky does very well for his age - and I can attest to the fact that he definitely does NOT act his age. xxMeeks

age? is no big deal... we got tired of counting...hell we just got tired..... but lifes too wonderfully fun to miss out on...so we gym 4 n 5 days a week, ride motorcycles very quickly 'round race tracks, play, laugh and generally have much more fun as we crest 50, than we've ever had in our lives...and it looks like getting more fun as time goes by...... bring it on we say!

Age in years is subjective .......apperantly some age quicker than others so how do you quantify that? The real question is how old are your photos? We routinely see photos on here that we know are 10 years plus old! Whats reasonable? photos within 0-4 years?

on this we must agree with romancefor4. there are many with photos that are way old.... ours are between 2 weeks and 18 months old, with the majority being only a number of months old.... but we see mid 40's people showing pics from up to 2 decades ago.......we feel that pics should be as current as possible. especially if you are a couple...as theres no problem as someones always free to hold the camera.........

my first meet after joining RHP was with a woman who was clearly quite a bit older than her stated age and clearly less attractive than her "attractive" status! She had no pics up so my fault for not asking I guess. There were other problems too but I won't go into them here!Anyway, the lesson is to go in with your "eyes open".

My age is correct. My pics are very current and not been touched up. Guys tell me I dont look my age. For this ... I love them lolI have found most guys that I chat too have "lowered" their age. I don't find that attractive in a man. If he lies about his age .. what else does he lie about?

I have posted my real age, which is 40 and I am always constantly getting questioned about it! I just look a lot younger! I am lucky I guess, but it does get frustrating having to explain my age and almost on a daily basis online and offline!

Well might you say (to quote a failed PM of Australia) as a female don't lie about your age. That is very convenient given we chase you.As a male I never lied about my age and got nowhere. So I changed my age, only by 5 years, and now it is all good. I guess I am lucky that I don't look my age but, if you are 50+ trust me, girls don't look. Even if you message them polightly indicating in a discrete manner that you may be 50+ but in body you are say 45 and in mind probably younger.There is a smorgasbord of men here for the women to pick and choose, wish I was 30 with the internet.

pics are the big one , if you are upfront and for real then in my opinion pics should be no more than a couple of years old. I also agree with mikeandshel, you are as young as you feel, i still race motorbikes , do triathalons and all that other crazy shit that most people my age think is not responsible for my age, get a life people and do some living, and please dont lie about your age , be proud of it!

Well I am going to admit to being a fibber...........I really do not want anyone over 60yrs ............unless they are a George Clooney type . I am A1 healthy very active, work hard and many a man over 50 will have a job keeping up with me. I do not have any saggy skin, do have a few extra pounds without being fat, if I loose them then I will soon look drawn and haggard. I usually admit my age on the second date.......but as most guys only want a one night stand, I rarely get past the coffee stage. The young guys pester me 'for the experience'! I just want someone nice. Why am I on here?........because i am nearly 65years old and sexually active, can't wait til I am 80yrs !!!!!!
