Nude beach wildlife etiquette.

November 12 2017

So I’m sure this topic had been covered several times before but here goes anyway. So we’ve ventured to the nude beach today and within 5 minutes of setting up camp two gents who we passed already set up themselves have quickly packed up their area and moved to within 5 feet of our location. Does anyone else, couples or single females have a problem with the seagull issue at nude beaches and what repellents are out there to scare them off? Also today being a particular windy day we’ve set up in a track leading up to the dunes to have a barrier between us and the steady breeze, not that it’s helping our tent much at all. There are quite a few meerkats prowling the dunes and they keep walking down our track rather then the countless free and clear tracks on either side of us. Are we giving off a secret signal we don’t know about? Any resident meerkats on red hot pie that can give us some clue as to the etiquette of the dunes?

I have no doubt ALL the meerkats are here 😉 when they're not at the beach bobbing about haha they are so bloody weird. I wonder if they realise how creepy and strange they appear/are, to normal people. They just don't seem to care, or have given up caring, borderline criminal in my opinion, they stalk, which should be a jailable offence. I'd like to see them hung by the balls for public disgrace, maybe noon every Sunday lol 😂😂

Take some rotten eggs as they walk past and u have clear view toss it at them, make sure hubby has a good arm and they are a fair way away. Just thinking outside the box.

They are indeed seagulls 😁 Not much you can do about them unfortunately, perhaps have a word and let them know that you are NOT there for the purpose of picking up and could they respect that. The meerkats in the dunes...well unfortunately you positioned yourself in the field of play so to speak. The dunes are where the action takes place, there seems to be an unwritten rule - the closer to the dunes you are the more available for dune play you are. Thats what seems to happen here in Victoria, doubt there would be much difference in WA. Plant yourself near other couples if you can...safety in numbers 👍

What Ms_Jonesy said. First rule of the bush/nude beach lol is lay near the dunes if you want action. How do I know this? 🐒

.. and rob you of your freedom. Littlebitweird .. I've witnessed what you say about laying your towel then being surrounded by naked men pretending to be just another beach goer. Problem is ' they get so pre occupied with their weird ways they become blind to the fact everyone else around knows exactly why their there ... Stopped me going a few years back because you feel guilty even though your intention is to enjoy the sun sand and water... Of course seeing a nice naked female is a bonus , but you don't intentionally invade her / their personal space by almost laying on top of them...

I assume you went to Swanbourne. I haven't been there since the late 70's. I now go to Warnbro. The etiquette there seems to be:The norther end is for the serious naturist/nudist.The middle section is for action (usually men) in the dunes. The southern end, so I've been told, is anything goes. Don't know if Swanbourne is similar or not. Try and identify some 'regular' naturists/nudists and talk to them about their experiences. You may learn something.

find other couples to set up near always works well or before they set up ,be firm and tell em to move away there's plenty of beach further away ,if they pretend to not hear you get there attention and tell them to fuck off.they are annoying as mosquitoes but doesn't take much to swat them away ,they don't love public embarrassment and the spot light on them mr b - Posted from rhpmobile

Definitely the southern end is for nude only. The northern end is for action or potential action. How do I know this 🐒 and like I said, near the dunes is a bit of a signal, still no excuse for them harrassing you I'll add

"Don't go to a nude beach if you dont like being perved on? " Clearly you have missed the point of nudism/naturism. It is not about being perved on / getting the opportunity to perve on others. It is also not about the opportunity to wank, fuck and behave in a lewd manner, in a public place. Nudism / naturism is about the feeling of being able to swim & sunbathe nude, a great feeling of freedom without having clothing getting in the way. Families, with children, also frequent nude beaches and have a legal right to frequent nude beaches. The perverts (" meerkats & seagulls") have no right to break the law nor infringe on the personal space (and rights) of others. And it is for this reason that so many nude beaches are being closed down / losing their "clothing optional" legal status, following complaints received from the public. The unacceptable behaviour of the few, spoils the enjoyment for the rest of us.

Question them, ask them what the hell theyre doing. They don’t move, call them out loudly as to what the hell they are doing. Make them feel uncomfortable. There’s nothing wrong with admiring someone on the beach, but outright perving, invading personal space, having a wank or whatever is poor form. These jerks are why people don’t like going to the nude beach and just another reason councils will end up eventually banning them. - Posted from rhpmobile

if only they just perved ,and did it from a reasonable distance ,but they don't ,they try and literally sit on the end of your towel ,hand on dick and stare with eyes popping out licking their lips while wanking ,it's gross ,gawd, i'd say it would be maybe half ok if they did it from 20 metres away and discreetly ,but they don't mr b - Posted from rhpmobile

It is not only for the sun. Simply lay it on its side blocking the vision of any unwanted attention. We have found it quickly gets the message across. Or we can’t see them so they don’t bother us any more. - Posted from rhpmobile

Don’t go to a nude beach if you don’t like being perved on? Seriously? I go to the nude beach for my own enjoyment and pleasure. I don’t go there to look at the other naked bodies but I’m not naive enough to think that no one is looking at me or that I won’t see other naked people. The point here is that there’s a difference between being perved on and being admired from afar. Would you appreciate going to a nude beach and having someone old enough to be your father deliberately pack up where they are sitting, walk 150m to where you are and sit so close that you could literally reach out and touch them? Sit facing away from the ocean so they could ogle your naked body while there hand periodically moved toward and rearranged their penis in an attempt to signal their intentions? It gives of a kind of rapey vibe. Your answer is just don’t go? So my leisure time is thrown away because of seedy old people? Hmmm luckily 99% of the other posters have actually read what my partner wrote and given proper educated advice. I’m all for nude beach enthusiasts who have respect and look from afar. I’m not concerned with those that deliberately have to walk past three or four times to get a sneak peek at my naked body. Just show some restraint - Posted from rhpmobile

we use this with zippable sides, find it very handy when lurkers are around, or we just want some privacy for relaxation :)

Trying to see it from the unwanted meerkats POV Most people know the convention - dunes = naughtiness; main beach = there for the beach. So I can understand OP getting annoyed at the wankers, but from the wankers point of view, they're just seeing someone set up shop in the same place that someone would set up shop if they wanted to be watched... and so they oblige. I guess you could treat them like inquisitive sharks who mistook a human for a seal, give em a bop on the nose and off they go. ;)

Yeah, I used to go there actually looking for action, and got it 😉 but it was ultimately the meerkats and also the wanking men who patrolled the shoreline, who turned me off going there. But I do miss it, it can be a great place to meet other horny people 👍

It was just your location set up. On a less windy day get away from dunes. You should have no problem then. But in saying that I have asked people to move on when there is so much room for everyone to have there own personal space. - Posted from rhpmobile
