Yeah yeah I know, I can hear your groans now. But this is a little different. It's not difficult to see from the plethora of cock size topics posted on here - not to mention the focus of many well-endowed males' profiles on how big their member is, to the exclusion of any other information about themselves - that for many guys this is a Very Important Issue. And that many still hold to the notions that 'bigger is better', and that all women want the biggest dicks they can find (ahem). What I'm interested to know is, guys, what are the factors that instill these ideas for males? Obviously we are all familiar with the tropes and jokes continuously touted in the media and our society in general, about 'bigger is better' and blah blah blah. Is that where most of it comes from? Or is it from personal experience with women who actively seek out big cocks and won't fuck a man under a certain size? Although I'm sure there are some, I wouldn't have thought there are actually that many women who are fixated on large cocks, but am I wrong? Is it from watching porn, in which most men are of above-average size? Is it a combination of all of the above? I am genuinely curious about which factor/s are the most influential in leading to the size fixation among many men, along with their seeming assumption that when looking for a more casual sexual arrangement, this is the only detail about them that women are interested in. No judgements here guys - just an invitation to share your stories and experiences in relation to this issue, 'cause I really want to know.

    When I was a teenager , the only porn I saw was in an actual porno magazine or a grainy projector movie at a porn n prawn night . Move forward to the Internet age and young guys have been inundated with instant hard core porn at the touch of a button. Most of this material is produced showing well endowed actors not "real" people . So these young guys become a product of their environment. Not too long ago there was a study released in print asking women if they'd prefer a larger appendage....the majority leant towards bigger was better....there was actually a thread about it... B).     I've had on a few occasions women say thanks but no thanks after specially asking how big I was and when I wasn't 9 inches, said thanks but no thanks. Mind you in this case they either had personal preference or wanted what they wanted. Didn't worry me but gives you the impression size matters. To be fair in most cases it has never been an issues because for me it is about the person. But hearing a woman au how much she loves a guy because he was big perpetrates the "big is better" concept. I suppose for me, the RHP forums have been my main exposure to the opinions of other women around this topic, and the majority seem to fall on the side of size not being all that important. I mean, I suppose for most women there is a lower limit, and yes I've had the situation where I literally could not feel the guy in me so as a result it wasn't very satisfying for me. But that was only one out of all the men I've been with. I have a relatively small build so for me - like Taby above - bigger cocks are not actually better, and once we're up to about 8 inches I'm having issues with some positions being too uncomfortable for me. And up around 10 inches...well I guess I thought that there wouldn't be too many women that could physically accommodate that sort of length without at least some discomfort.     As for your question, mainstream media and a childhood of miss interpreted sexual inuendos in the media lead to your subconcious running rampant with irrational ideals and expectations of both you and the things around you. Most men can't even understand why they care they just know that they do, just like they don't know why they breathe they just do. It's a terrible thing.     I think it has something to do with sperm delivery... The closer to the target "egg" sperm is deposited, the greater the likelyhood of pregnancy/survival of the race/species/whatever the word is I'm looking for.
