My lost doo -hicky

It has been brought to my attention that you all have doo-hickies and whatchamacallits................................... (Earl was explaining it to me where his was ) which allow you to post in fancy font and colour, copy and paste, change font size, and add emoticons............. :-0 .............sob..................................................................... I dont have none !!!!!!..................................................I had a good looksee and feel about but I still cant find my doo-hicky !!!.........................Have I done something wrong ? Am I being denied? punished? or have I just been robbed ???????.............................................................................................................................. Can anyone help me find my whatchamathingies ??.........in english would be good.......and slowly...... (this would be a smiley face if I had any) :-) ........thank you.................. in anticipation of playing with my doo-hicky :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) oohhh bloddy hell this is time consuming !!!!

    I gather you dont have the doo-hickey thingy that looks like this B I U | A | that lets you do things like this? I have no idea why you dont have a doo-hickey thingy and looking forward to hearing some suggestions as to why you dont!

    When you write in your comment you will see just about the first line you type (not the Subject line) that you have in order: B = Bold I = Italics U = Underline Bolded A is the font colour you can use. The smiley face is the emoticons The box that says Font..if you press on the arrow it will show you different font syles The box that says Size .. If you press on the arrow it will show you different sizes that you can make your font. I usually type my whole comment then I highlight the whole comment and go on to press the B button (for bold) and then the A button (for colour), if I want emoticons I press on the smiley face to choose which emoticon I want. Is that in plain english enough...or have I confuzzled you more?? xFunlovingx

    MBP - You need javascript installed to use these emoticons. It should be there already but worth a checkGo to "Tools" in your browser and see if there is an entry named "Java Console".Alternatively go to Control Panel>Add Remove Programs> and see if there is an entry there called "Java"You can download Java from http://www.java.com/en/download/Of course all this maybe completely wrong..lol . good luckMr. SR

    Yup noticed HM doesn't have them either, when I used his lappie the other day. Perhaps it is a Vista thing if that is what you use.

    No whatchmadohickeys over here either and we're on a Mac so bound to need to spend $$$$ on something to fix something that might just fix something else that may allow doohickeys but probably wont!

    ok control panel .......check...........java.........um........um.......there is something that looks liike a coffee pot .....but its called power options (it looks like a coffee pot to me !!!!)........ok ....trying the download thing......ooohh it w2as so much easier when we couod speak to people..........LOL........Im going to give them a good working over when i find my doo hicky

    No Funlovin.......I dont...I have seen others and they have them ....but i dont.......I got nuffin.......like a barbie doll !!!...and even after downloading Java........i still got nuffin ........Miss IC has got em...ive seen hers..............but i feel i have been robbed or deprived..........so you will all have to put up with these stupid little dots............................................................................................................................................... :-# !!!!!

One of my many hidden talents, puppy, is that I'm a trained Mac Tech and it's not going to cost the earth. 1. What version OS X are you running? (Apple menu, top LH corner and "About This Mac")2. Are you using Safari or Firefox? Try using Firefox.3. When was the last time you updated you software? Go to the Apple menu. Hit Software Update and see if you need anything.Give that a try and see if it works.

    so the issue was browser related.... google chrome can't handle RHP :-) so - as agreed... you told me drinks on you... so... here's what I want... Sydney drinks night... you laying on the bar... shots lined up along your belly and each breast... and I drink them one by one... hehe hugs Wayne

    Hey Mikle, Does there have to be a reason to have a beer? Actually my Mac is sooooo smart it remembers things I type in certain areas and the offer for a beer was a response to another post of yours. How's the supporting the lawyers income going? Hope it's all happy days soon
