Movember

November 03 2012

Having decided to commit to this worthy cause by growing a Mo for charity, I am now feeling a little self conscious about growing a Mo and how it looks on me. Yes, it is uncomfortable and itchy and I may start looking like a 70's porn star, but I am thinking of the greater good by raising some awareness and hopefully some funds.   Now my little whinge is over, I wanted to ask readers the following:   Ladies, do you mind a Mo on a guy?   Gentlemen, is anyone else participating from RHP in Movember this month?   Over the past few days I have not noticed one male Mo grower, so where are my Mo bro's?

I don't mind a moustache so long as it's well-maintained without bits of food or other debris danging in the strands. As for looks-wise...the ones with a connected beard or the thinner ones I can handle. Maybe not so much the handlebar *grins*

Quoting 'amuse_bouche'A Charlie Chaplin one would be quite hilarious but it could be mistaken for an Adolf Hitler mo and zat vill not do! But a famous mo maybe the way to go Ruby, Tom Selleck's mo is great and it suits him. How about an Errol Flynn mo, that could be quiet dashing?

Hitler was apparently a huge fan of cinema, and took his moustache style from Charlie Chaplin. After that it never really took off again.

I think Movember is an awesome idea and I love to see the guys run around with the mo's .. and then the fresh clean look on the first day of December. Good luck to all you boys who do it.. such a fantastic cause and a bit of fun.. xx

Quoting 'Saskia72'Hitler was apparently a huge fan of cinema, and took his moustache style from Charlie Chaplin. After that it never really took off again. Hitler would not have been happy then with Chaplin's 1940 film ' The Great Dictator' in which Chaplin mocks Hitler. That style of Mo was called the 'Toothbrush'

Yep, its a great cause, unfortunately my last attempt was an abject failure :( Seems most of my hair is migrating south, mo looked more like the legs of a malnourished albino cockroach... Go all you good things with an abundance of facial hair!
