I have never seen anyone with the same eyes. They are the windows into peoples souls, and then we get too meet the spirits, never met two spirits the same for that matter either. I can feel the spirit in others with this writing stuff though, I would never assume such things as these people have said, they must be pretty closed off to say something like that. Thanks for bringing this up. Mado Mado Tara xx

Beaker and the scientist off the muppets explained this to me ? The DNA strands between a black man , an asian woman , a white man , a eskimo , an indian a dwarf , a fat man a skinny woman the basic structure of DNA is to an untrained eye identical !!! The DNA between one moth white colour and a darker moth of a different moth but both fly into the light so your basic moth ?? The DNA difference can be 100 times greater ! So moths have a long way to go ?! All of the information above was told to me with no written guarrentee some figures have been forgotten maybe exadurated the writer is not responsible for false information but is totally responsible for spelling mistakes !!! - Posted from rhpmobile

I wouldn't say they were ignorant and offensive, even racist to an extend...more down to lack of education, lack of cultural core values beliefs and heritage customs/cultures. To me Asians do not look the same... I have been through Asia and to me the counteries I went to, had different features, eyes, skin etc etc. Different cultures, ways of living, languages etc etc.. They were beautiful people. Maybe the people you were talking to SweetGem, had not been or traveled through Asia to actually see for themselves, that there is a difference?? Maybe they thought being Asians were not a mixed race and they see Asian as one whole Race?? Maybe?? I see mixed race, as people with various backgrounds ethic groups made up or combine together. I always thought our genes and DNA came from fish? Foxy

quote me if I am wrong... That many people see Asia, Europe, Australia, America etc as a Continents.... and not really think they consist of smaller cultures/heritages/Islands/ within that continent that do make it up. Take Europe for Instance - Europe is a very large continent, and within that continent is many many different races/believes/cultures/heritages/history that makes up Europe. So I therefore believe people get that a confused and speak of continents, rather than each individual country etc etc. Maybe Sweetgem, this is why the people you were talking to may have seen Asia as a Continent, rather than individual countries make up Asia??? Maybe??? fOXY

There are huge distinctions between Asians and I find you can easily tell the difference between Malay, Koreans, Japanese etc. People like to be lazy and out labels on people. I think the mixing of races is awesome and makes life interesting. Sadly we are a country which should appreciate this more than most given we are all made up of different backgrounds, but we don't and are some of the most racist people around.

To some people all Asian look the same, and vice versa. But in reality they aren't when you get a typical Asian from each country there are definite differences. As for mixed races, I am of Asian heritage, my sister married an Aussie and there kids look a bit Asian and one of my nieces married an Aussie and her daughters both have blond hair and blue eyes, this is highly unique but also shows that we cannot generalise and assume that the kids will have predominantly brown eyes, and of course black hair as in most cases the genes are dominant in Asians when they marry Caucasians and it is very rare to have blonde hair blue eyed kids. I have a friend that married an Asian man and one of her sons married a Caucasian his son has Red Hair and blue eyes. It totally depends on the genes within the family no one person is the same. These people are ignorant and they only choose to see what they want to see, no matter how much you disagree and try to prove, so don't waste your time and energy on these ignorant fools. I detach from any stupid and ignorant comments and certainly don't take those people seriously as they obviously don't try know life.

Difference divides people, causes wars, hurts others. I'm interested in different experiences and learning about and from those, but I'm not interested in categorising someone based on their skin or hair or eye colour. The vast majority of us have mixed bloodlines somewhere along the line. Mine are at the very least a mix of Scottish, English and Irish (which once upon a time used to matter a lot to people of those nations) but I suspect also Aboriginal and something Mediterranean at some point. And I just don't care. About my mix, or anyone else's. I care about your heart. About your tolerance for other people. About your willingness to see that ultimately we're all exactly the same. We all want to love and be loved. Whether the difference is class, ethnicity, looks, education, any curiously I have is because I want to understand your experience but not because I want to assess how we're the same or different. Because we're the same. (and there's really no such thing as race in humans) - Posted from rhpmobile

If we are truly blind to 'race' and accept individuals equally and equitably, then even the idea of 'mixed race' is an irrelevant form of labelling. But racial description does have it's place and purposes. As long as cultures integrate, and co exist, that's all that matters - Posted from rhpmobile

The United Nations decided to referred to a 'persons ethnic heritage rather than race....but Sweetgem if you want a definition then your race is Asian....if you had Caucasian and or, Black ancestry you would be of mixed race....but you have ethnic diversity or if you prefer cultural diversity....of course Caucasian is also a broad sweeping term too...we carry in our genes so much diversity....and as foxxxy mentioned including a swamp dwelling sea creature....we are all connected.....and as other posters have said,it is who you are as a person, not where you come from that really matters xx Q

Her lineage included Malaysian, Chinese and just a touch of Portugues. It was amusing when her full-blood Chinese cousins came for a visit. They were introduced to my sons, their new blond-haired, blue- eyed cousins. It seems to me, sweetgem, that you have more of an issue with our perception of your heritage than is warranted. Just be the best you that you can be and allow yourself to be judged on that. I didn't really care what her background was, whenever I looked at her, all I could see was a mother-in-law and a right pain in the arse.

That aren't worth worry about. I'm Australian and how I got this way is irrelevant.

Yes I think you're a mix, I am a mix, a Euromutt. English Irish Austrian Spanish and all the little subgroups in there, Pictish, Keltic, Gaelic, Viking, Teutonic, Scandanavian, Catalan, Iberian, Germanic, Shepardic, and all the way back you get Moorish, Greek, Roman etc. I'm pretty sure I am a homo sapiens, which means I have homo erectus and cro magnon as well. The only Asian I have in me is beef with black bean sauce from last night and my ex's fingers from way back. Several fingers. And once or twice, her tongue. RA

Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts on the topic, and your words of comforting and encouraging to just be myself :-) In all honesty, nowadays I don't let what others say get to me as long as it's not a personal attack :-) The main reason I make this thread is to learn of your thoughts on Asian race, and to make aware that, sadly, some Asian people are still copping the unfair treatment from today's society! - Posted from rhpmobile

Hi sweetgem, don't waste time on people that just don't get it, you won't get through to them and they have serious issues whatever that is, they are just not worth worrying about and the fact some wish to make it personal they obviously don't have a life and have to find someone to blame, normal people don't have this problem and there are people more deserving of your time and energy, detach from their negative, nasty vibes or just plain ignorance it is their problem not yours.
