  That is a lovely fairytale and it would be nice to beleive it but I really gave up beleiving in fairy tales along with the Tooth Fairy, Easter bunny and Santa claus a long time ago. The reality of it is that there is no magic wand. Christmas tends to bring out the worst kind of behaviour in a lot of people. Emotions are heightened. People are stressed and many use the holiday period to drink too much and it is the kids who suffer. Emergency services are run off thier feet at this time of the year, I wonder how many kids woke up expecting to see presents ony to find that Santa did not stop at thier house. I wonder how many of them...Yes in Australia....went hungry today. I also wonder how many of them got abused or lost a loved one. More softer and more beautiful? Not for all no!
