Men with body hair, keep it or lose it ?

October 25 2008

We were at a party last week & I < male partner > was floored when a woman told me to loose the fur, "its not the flavour of the month" she went on to tell me. Her partner added that it was just not on. Well needless to say you could have knocked me over with a feather. Being a bit stunned by this insult but not wanting to also be rude by telling them what I thought, I just laughed it off & went off not bothered by it but I'm wondering what others think about it. Would you wax or otherwise remove hair to be more popular ? or indeed is it more desireable anyway ? Do most ladies prefer a bare < hairless > chest ? Its never come up before & I have never had an issue with it previously. Just curious to get a broad public view on it from men & women. Personally, I feel quite comfortable with the fur & feel that thats just who I am. I wouldn't wax or do anything else to alter my body just to be the flavour of the month. What are your thoughts, would you lose it or keep it ? Is a male with a smooth chest sexier ?

personally it doesnt bother me either way......having said that if you are resembling my shag pile carpet then i may have an issue or two..... i actually like rubbing my hands lightly through hairs on a guys chest as we lie there after playing....but that is just me... dont be to bothered....enough ppl on this site to find other playmates elsewhere who will accept you for your other assests..... just my view... lava xoxoxox

I am a male and I remove my fur... but many men can look attractive with hairy bodys... Some other men unfortuneately with bushy hairy backs and shoulders....appear with a vulture look.... a mass of messy tangled hair that would be better manicured and then brushed regulary with a good hard bristle hair brush to keep it in order between trims....you say we were at a party last week when someone pointed this out.... I imagine it was a swingers party...therefore this issue must have been hurtfull and an embarrassment.... cheers astralwalker

hi hotel, i think its just a personal preference. what the hell is flavour of the month? Do you really need to try and fit in with the popular crowd, jesus sounds a bit like being in school and trying to fit in with the the cool kids. Why bother, just be yourself and be happy how you are, don't get rid of the fur just to fit in with the popular crowd cause theyre obviously not worth and god knows what the next FLAVOUR of the month will be. Me i luv both cause theyre both so sexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy. fluffy

Dear Mr California.. first of all.. good wise move, to laught it off and move on, for that twazt.. is a bimbo self centred rude twat.. and so is the male. second of all. It doesnt matter what fur you have on you, or how well trimmed you maintain, or how much tanned skin you have, or how much muscles you gain, these means NOTHING to teh female (if the females object to that, then obviously you got the head screwed on wrong.. get wif reality!) Most females prefer intelligent, humour-ish and full of life guys. If you got that.. WHO GIVES A FUCK what others thought about yer fur?

I thought hairy men were making a come back!!!! Besides hairless is not exactly natural. my partner is very hairy and for me its a non issue as i like both but i agree with you that if you feel that's you then go with it and don't listen to people who think they know better.

Hi, Yeh suppose its a personal preference, much like shaven and unshaven genitalia.... If it had been us at the party, we wouldnt have thought much of the comments from the person/couple... However.. mrs tekematwo, loves my hairy chest (not that hairy mind you) and she actually finds hairless chests too much like young boys and she totally dislikes it... P&C

Mate we can't win either way I have had the opposite comments from females. I even get accused of shaving as I have very little body hair and being blonde it looks like I have even less than I do. So dont let it get to you its not worth it ;) Some chicks like it some don't......such is life :P

Yep. Definitely personal preference. That woman can obviously choose not to play with you because you have hair if she doesn't like it but you were right to be floored because they were pretty rude to you! Saying it's 'not on' is a bit of an exaggeration! I guess it's best to check what the general preference at the party you'll be at will be before going. If hairless is generally popular at that meeting then you'll have to decide if you want to make the compromise. Obviously you don't have to if you don't want to but you can't force people to like it on you just because you like it. ;) Just my 2c... and my personal preference is hairless / manicured. hehe. :)

I think that's a bit of a rude thing to say to someone...... It's not about "flavour of the month" it's about personal preference . My personal preference is no hair, but that's just me. Each to their own.

I have been mulling over this choice for say.....15 years? I hate Cosmo magazine for doing a section when i was in High School on male body hair. (hey,,,who didnt sneak a look in the sealed section:P) Despite the fact that i had very little, this magazine made me feel awkward about the small tuft i had. I tried a few different removal techniques, and you can always count on it coming back. I have also been thru my cave-man bush phase (i had a mad afro downstairs) and did the revert to birth look as well. What i have found. Women usually dont mind as long as you are groomed. I havent ever been turned down because i had pubes. Guys will shave down to make their appearance better, either through enhanced muscle definition or making something appear longer. Couples- Usually a couple will want the 3rd party shaved. Usually the male partners preference even if its not put to you by him directly. My 2c

As a young girl I adored smooth chests and grimaced at those men who paraded their hairy bodies at the beach... But now hairless chests present me with an image of youth, vanity and inexperience... none of which are my cup of tea. I wonder that we haven't gone too far seeking hairless bodies... and although a Brazilian can be very erotic it often seems that it has now become what is expected... an almost pubescent fetish rather than an erotic variation I love to weave my fingers through hair.... chest, pubic, head... lol... it's a sensual play and an expression of intimacy. Keep your hair wherever it is.....

i personally like the hair on chest, it's more man-ly, but the main thing is to remain true to yourself. if a person doesn't like you for you, then they are not worth wasting the time on. Good luck with your decision.

Not actually being all that into men I can't really say. But none of the women I have been with have complained about my hair - well except for the pony tail (and it was one girl, the rest thought it was awesome my hair was longer than thiers) As for downstairs, I suspect most women either prefer trim or shaved. And screw you on the whole shaving thing, done it a few times and it's not exactly the most comfortable thing ever (While it looks bigger and is a little more sensitive, having your nuts stick to your leg because its a 20 degree day isn't what I call fun.) Im going to stick to the beard trimmer once a month thank you very much. Much more comfortable - oh and it doesn't look like your still pre-pubescant. Remember, no such creature as flavour of the month unless your in an Icre-Creamery.

hey FullSwap, Everyone has their own opinion wether its hair or no hair, how dare they come up to u and be as rude as they were. Just because they felt strongly about it didnt give them a right to do what they did. Anyway, its all water under the bridge now. I personally dont mind a bit of hair, but i do prefer smooth bodies in both male and female. I just dont like the idea of sweaty hair rubbing on my skin, it just puts me off. That and i cant stand sweat rash that can be caused by hair. Our last couple we were with, the guy was smooth from head to foot (literly) he was bald all over. That was a really nice experience, so its my prefered choice, but like i said b4 everyones has their own opinion. If your happy the way you are dont change just because someone told you to. Have fun guys :)

Reading these forums, it never ceases to amaze me how judgemental people can be. Are we all not here (in this scene) to be ourselves, meet new people and hopefully make some special friends? And can we not do that without being rude or judgemental? Hairy, non-hairy.. big, small, tall, short.. we all have our preferences, yes, but why judge someone else for theirs? Sorry if i a bit ranty..pet hate is close-minded people.. would of had a couple words to say to that couple myself... :)

I think it really depends on the age..the younger generation are probably used to the younger men not having that much hair and as you get older it grows,,,quite normal I would of thought...My husband keeps himself neat and tidy all over. Iits natural to have hair and i find a little bit to be very sexy..However full, thick body hair all over is a bit much,,Everything in moderation I always say....

Personal(she) I like a bit of hair on the body, I have to admit tho I have become used to smooth balls & shaft now & that is my prferance but I am still taken back by a man who is totally smooth. Hair aside no matter what a persons preferance that person should have been tactful at the very least, instead of being rude & dismisive. I`m sure she/they where the ones who missed out in the long run.

Rude and dismissive is not cool no matter what the circumstances, thats my feeling anyway... :) Umm, having said that i can understand when it is used in self defence ;) Oops, back to the thread, i'm a hairy kinda guy, i call it masculine lol. Its not excessive, though there is a little on my back which seems like its a no no apparently. Should a lady i care about be concerned she is welcome to remove it, lets make it fun... Other than that if it bothers a player then thats fine, we're not suited. You're too picky ;)

the thing I cannot stand it BACK and SHOULDER hair.. wax those suckers guys.. a nice smooth cock n balls is nice but I like a bit of chest hair. As long as you dont look like a yeti is cool. Lets face it .. do you guys like us women to have fanny hair and armpit air down to our knees and leg hair you can plait?

I've always been a bit divided on the subject of my own body hair. On one hand, as a ginger, my body hair is naturally pale and scantly noticeable. On the other hand, I have a shitload of it centered on my arms and legs. From a distance it's not visible, but you would certainly feel it if you ran your hand along it. In the end, it's probably just a personal choice - but I side with the notion that smooth, soft, hairless skin is enjoyable for all. After all, I doubt there is a guy here who will disagree that the thought of a woman with neck down alopecia.

... late teens/early 20's I liked a smooth chest. Thinking back on it that was directly related to the boys I was attracted to at the time. They were boys and they had no chest hair. Go figure! Now I don't think fur is yuk at all. I LOVE it. I want to rub my face in it and pull on it and smell that man smell from it.I love the fur. In my ideal world, every man I'm intimate with would have lovely lovely chest fur.

Quoting yet another great movie line Ok in the interest of keeping it simple my preferences are:Face: clean shavenChest: little hair is ok or smooth is nice tooBack: do I need to say it??? (no hair please)Gentleman's sausage and beans: smooth at best case, well groomed/ trimmed at worst ( i dont want to floss while i am down there thanks)Generally clean and well presented shows you take pride in your appearance but that doesn't mean i expect you to 'lose the rug' because it is popular, i am with the others on this it was a rude way to put it and really you handled yourself better than i would under the circmstances ( i tend to treat rudeness with more rudeness lol) plenty of play mates out there that will be more compatible, just as some prefer blondes/ skinny/ large/ short/tall etc etc the list goes on, best of luckWBYMxx

OK it's too hard to have complete acceptance as there's too many grey areas here so boys and girls let's all make the decision now and jump in one of two camps:1. Natural- No fake bits allowed. Enhancement may be procured through the choice of clothing but there will be no insertion of foreign materials under the skin nor any alteration involving skills on par or above that of skinning a rabbit.- Skin must be left as nature intended with moderate allowance for sun exposure and some trimming of natural body hair (in much the same way we keep our hairdo's neat).- If the time comes that we may artificially gain intelligence by implantation of superior brain matter, this cannot be undertaken. One may read and otherwise educate themselves as they see fit.- Exercise is allowed to tune what god gave you but if you get so hot that you think that you are actually a gift from god then you are transferred to the other group immediately.2. Unnatural- Fake bits required. Face it, no one is perfect so you must use medical technology to fix those bits of yourself that are not ideal. Implants, chemicals, solariums, scalpels are a gift to the modern world, use them to make the world a more beautiful place.- Skin. If you are dark you must try and be as white as you can, if light then get to the solarium asap. If you're somewhere in the middle then you should have an identity crisis as really who wants to be average!- Artificial intelligence? It maybe one day possible but you are too beautiful to need to worry about this superficial attribute- Exercise. Many of you in this category may feel the need to exercise excessively to attain that "god like" state. There is no need, just accept your superiority and rest easy that one artificial improvement deserves another so why exercise when a bit of lipo will do the trick??Now this will help in all of our RHP interactions as it will be easy to see who's in what camp. Camp 2 will look perfect, they will know all Camp 2ers will be perfect so there will be no need for profile photos they can just jump in! Camp 1ers will have a slightly harder time as good genes will make some jeans look better than others. Camp 1ers will only have to provide B&W silhouette shots to show their general shape as they will all know they are not perfect and no one shows the bad bits anyway.Wow this makes perfect sense to me now, what do we all think or did I have one too many coffees today and I've finally lost the plot? For the record the Pup's choose camp 1 but not without some duress as the demanding machine of popular self worth does make the female Pup thinks bits of her are too imperfect sometimes and even though she is an extremely intelligent person and drop dead gorgeous to boot she still can't completely overcome what society tells her she should be.Society is to blame. But society can be changed.

I suppose I'm lucky to be naturally aerodynamic albeit a tiny tuft of fine hair on my sternum, which is weird given my Greek lineage. At any rate, whilst I have been quite self-conscious of that little tuft, I've often been told that it's quite cute. Not sure how but I won't complain either. That said, would I wax it if I was told it was a turn off? There's really not enough to wax so I'd probably just pluck 'em. :)Seriously though, everyone has different tastes. If we all had the same tastes, it would be a very boring world to live in. There's no such thing as a "flavour of the month" when it comes to body hair and you responded in the appropriate manner. My only preference is to shave "down there". I don't mind if there's a little stubble left behind or even just a trim little landing strip but just trim the damn lawn! I've yet to be daring and find a way to really shave right down to bare skin down there, more for the fear of nicking my shaft and balls. But at least keeping it trimmed down as low as possible means a much cleaner area too.
