Man needs help..

February 06 2011

Can anybody help.. ? I am finding after I use a condom the glands of my penis and the immeadiate area become a lil red and slightly irratated. I have heard that the latex rubber condoms are made of can be the culprit, which I beleive is probally the problem as its only afterwards I experience it. Even though it clears in a few days , I would like to avoid it if theres a way.. So my question is this. Has anybody else experienced this and how did you overcome it.. I thought of using some talcum powder before hand but what a passion killer.. Any ideas ? Mr JJ

u could try using a barrier cream like the ones that people who work in heavy industry use to protect their hands. might feel better going on than talc. a doctor would be the best person to ask though.

But i have to ask, no gay shit intended here fella, but do you have quite a thick member, because if you do, you are most likely just simply using the wrong size condom for your ummmm how shall we say, the size of your "mini me"..... Also another thing is that if you are using one that is a bit smaller for your member size, if the juices from a pussy get in the condom itself, the sliding motions from going in and out can rub against your member from the inside, which in turn can cause irritation later on after you have calmed donw, you won't realize it at first, it only really happens later.....Unless ofcourse you were to fuck a dirty pussy, which i'm quite sure is NOT the case at all.....So no offence to anyone..... My only suggestion, is get some Bepanthen cream for when you have finished, or there's a type of erotic massage cream you can use called, WILDFIRE.....by WILDFIRE, and no don't take notice to the name for the sake of it won't burn your cock off.....LOL PLAYFULGUY.....

Not being a male I have not experienced this no but it does sound like an allergy. I guess it has yet to be determined as to whether or not it is to the condom or the lubricant used with the condom. I would consult a doctor and try a little experiment with different brands. Surely there are ones that are silicon and not latex.

Ansell makes latex-free condoms called Skyns, they're relatively new, come in a black box and should be as readily available as other brands and varieties :)

If you are affected, you can get polyurethane condoms, which are thin and strong, effectively conduct body heat and, according to some reports, more compatible with sexual pleasure than latex. However they have higher breakage rates than latex condoms. Maybe wear two; latex over polyurethane?

Could be a few different things happening there with the brand, latex, lubricants etc. and since I like to play with a bit of variety in the collection have from time to time had a mild irritation but usually goes away the next day. Sometimes a bit of over enthusiasm is the culprit too. | The latex used in condoms is I believe made from a natural extract of a gum tree albeit chemically processed...and I do know that in the health care industry where they use it more than most of us would, the allegry rate is around the 10% mark. I would suggest looking for and trying out the synthetic latex (polyisoprene) as the first choice. Ansell makes them here and they are called "Skyn" condoms. There are others made out of PE aka PU (polyurethane) but really do take away a bit too much of the more natural feel...or so I have been told. | Best of breed...Lambskin. However, whilst these are as close as you will ever get to wearing nothing and in some ways actually enhance the experience, are equally as effective for birth control as anything but no where near as effectived in protecting you from all of the STDs and other little nasties crawling around on the planet today. But if you are only trying to avoid children...these are the best of the beast. | If all else fails...just see your GP. Sometimes talking to her.... | ...can be a lot of fun!

Mmmm yes it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to the latex. This will only get worse, sorry. Unfortunately it's something that can build up over time (I know this from being a health care worker...it's the same with us and latex gloves). I would maybe consult a sexual health clinic and see what they think to be 100% sure, and they may be able to give you some freebies to try too!!!!

Not being the male talking here i can't say for sure but sounds like a latex allergy. I have a sister in law who suffers from the same thing and she has to buy special latex free condoms, i am not sure where you get them or how much they are but i guess you could try discussing it with your GP or asking at your local sex shop (those wonderful people usually stock almost everything)I wouldn't be looking at adding barries or talc etc apart from the 'passion killing' you mentioned it may also affect the condom and self rendering it weak.Best of luck, it does sound uncomfortable to say the least.Mrs GC

Sometimes the latex can rub on the penis, just squeeze a bit of lube inside the condom prior to putting it on, and that problem should go away.

You can buy those non latex condoms called Skyns from most Coles supermarkets & I presume others as well? About $9.00 for a box of 10. A few people have suggested lube inside the condom....be careful trying that...it can make the condom slip off very easily...and then you could be getting a rash due to totally different reasons! All that being said & don't take this the wrong way but maybe a full sexual health check up is in order...just to be sure.

Certainly some helpfull suggestions amoungst all that was posted.. I had a full health check about 6 months ago and everything was fine. Also I had my doctor look at the problem and she wasnt worried about it at all.. We didnt talk about condoms, just something that never came up in the conversation. She' perscribed a cream called Hydrozole which can only be used spareingly for a few at a time.I googled the complaint and found out theres a common condition called ' bilitis' ( think thats how its spelt ).. It mentions that latex is one of the things that can be the cause..Treatment is simple.. bathe in warm water with salt and apply a little Canasten when throughly dry 2 - 3 times daily for about a week. Then just the Canesten for about another week or 2 after it clears.. Thanks again everyone.. Mr JJ

Yeah, you can get non latex condoms in most sex shops, bit expensive tho, and you need special lube for them. Or try wearing a condom for an hour one evening WITHOUT having sex and see if the problem still occurs, maybe she's just so tight it can't be helped. . .
