Initially it sounded like a hijacking go bad (in the traditional "take me to Libya!" style), but I'm not sure now. Someone with a clue turned off ACARS and ADS-B, so the aircraft would no longer report its position. The aircraft then went missing right at the handoff from one air traffic control centre to another, and it was flown off course on automatics, rather than by hand as you'd normally see in a hijack. All of this either suggests crew involvement, or that the aircraft was hijacked by a hijacker reasonably familiar with the systems found aboard a transport category aircraft. Based on the round trip time from the SATCOM pings, the satellite operator has calculated the slant range from the satellite to the aircraft. This places the aircraft on either of two arcs, one heading out towards the Indian Ocean and the other over China and India. China and India have excellent air defence radar networks, so it's pretty unlikely that a 777 could sneak over either country's airspace unnoticed. Based on this, and the track the last time the aircraft was detected it's more likely to have headed south. It's unlikely to have landed anywhere. The number of fields that can take a 777 (while allowing it to get back off the ground) is small, and they tend to be busy and major airports. A 777 is also pretty much impossible to hide on the ground; the number of hangars that can take one is also small, and all of those are at large busy airports. I can't really imagine a gang of militants dragging camouflage nets over the tail, which is about 70 feet tall. If it did spear into the ocean, it'll be hard to find. The Indian Ocean is deep, and other than near certain parts of the Australian coast there's no radar coverage out there. The main wreckage of AF447 took two years to find, so if this aircraft turns up anytime soon I'd be surprised.

If you think about it's unlikely to be terrorists, they want maximum exposure to any event, not hidden no trace..it's not in the ocean...I think they changed course ant flew north towards bay of Bengal. Hi jack.?

There are a multitude of things that could have happened to it and until it (or at least it's black box) is found, no-one will know with any certainty. The only thing we know at the moment is that the Malaysians have really mishandled the situation and the flow of information, although as it is a highly unusual case, we should give them some leeway.

RETHINK 9/11.......... They (Illuminati/Malaysian airforce / the smoking man) blew it up and its easier to play incompetent than to say "We just blew up your family" ie. don't catch a plane that's gonna get hijacked p.s. justdajosh wrote this not venus66

Governments can track us by our cell phones but they can't find this plane . The plane made a complete turn around on it's flight path . 2 Iranian passengers with dodgy Passports . I get the feeling that the plane was hijacked and then exploded into smithereens . This story will be unresolved . The plane will never be found ... GG♒️ - Posted from rhpmobile

Meeka, the first time I read your reply, I thought you says it's a mystery flight. Harsh! I love a good conspiracy, but this seems like murder suicide... Or the Chinese/USA shot them down and this is all smoke and mirrors. Hugs Gazpacho

So I'm gonna opt for the silly thoughts. I think the plane has accudentally gone into a time tunnel and is now trapped in that space. Everyone on the flight is still alive! - Posted from rhpmobile

I was fishing the other day with a gf when i looked up and saw a large plane.....not unusual for some but for us in this quiet place off the flight path I was rather intrigued and commented what is a large plane like that was doing here? No I didnt think it was the missing place although she jested what if? How can any of us know when the whole world cant find them? I am liking Gaz's conspiracy theory. Just doesn't seem possible in this day and age of satellites and spy equiptment they can lose a plane!

I frequent another website for professional pilots and I've got to say its bizzare that the most succinct précis of the event I've read was yours on a sex forum! Kudos. One thing I would disagree with is that although the AF main wreckage CVR/FDR took a long time to recover, the point of impact was found relatively quickly with lots of floating debris. - Posted from rhpmobile

I know someone who's mother was on the plane, she is very upset and not coping, she rang her mums mobile and it rings, if it sunk wouldn't the phone go straight to voice mail? Why can't they track the phones? - Posted from rhpmobile

Don't forget to consider the recent deal done between 4 Chinese engineers and the rockafella company ... all engineers were in the flight. Contract says if a directer dies .. his shares are decided between the survives.. Rockerfella is the only surviver...money money ... billions more dollars - Posted from rhpmobile

Our family is one of 287 families that have loved ones on that plane. It's a daily struggle not knowing what's happened to them or where they've gone. We just seem to be getting the run around as to what's happened to this plane. It makes me sick to think they've just gone, breaks my heart to think they may never come back. It's tough to see on the news all the theory's of what's happened to this aircraft. We just need them to come home safely :( - Posted from rhpmobile

Fuck having a heart. In this day and age it's ridiculous that this can happen! I love to travel and so does a lot of my family. Having a major piece of machinery disappear like this is just plain scary.

I'm going to agree with the QANTAS expert, who suggested the plane had an incident on board, pilot turned to Lankauwi (spelling), as that's the closest runway capable of landing a 777 "heavy." The crew put it on autopilot to deal with the situation, and the passed out for one reason or another. Plane carried on for seven hours, then ran out if fuel and plummeted to the ocean depths. Funnily enough if you plot a line from its lady known location, roughly over Lankauwi, and keep going its speed and range would put it within a few hundred km if the South Western Australian search area. - Posted from rhpmobile

I wrote this a while ago but it still seems plausible. My hart sincerely goes out to the families / passengers / and loved ones involved. MH370 My Theory2:44 PM 17/03/2014It's now well over a week since the 'disappearance' of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. I say 'disappearance' in quotes because it didn't really 'disappear', rather it simply stopped transmitting its electronic beacons telling everyone where it is. It was still visible to active radar (eg military), satellite imaging and probably, if it's still around - to Australian JORN or Jindalee Operational Radar Network. Reportedly capable of detecting a seagulls mid-air poop a thousand miles away. So finding a jumbo jet shouldn't be that difficult - assuming it was flying or on the surface of the ocean within its coverage area. Given that one of the JORN transponders is located on Christmas Island, if the plane took a southerly path, we should have known about it. What happened to the plane ? We know with 'questionable certainty' that the plane took off as normal, flew for a short time along its correct path, then diverted west for a while. We also know it continued to have power to it for at least six hours after its transponders were disabled. Its transponders were claimed to have been switched off at different times - this strongly suggests that the plane did not crash at that time - if it had, then the transponders would have stopped transponding at the same time. Note however that the transmission interval of the transponders may indeed be 30 - 60 minutes which could allow both to have been disabled at around the same time. Reports also suggest that satellite signals (pings) were received for several hours and at different locations each time - suggesting the plane was still flying for several hours after 'disappearance' I think the plan was to steal / hijack the plane and prepare it to be used for something bad in the future. If the 'pilot' of the plane - and I don't necessarily mean the official pilot, rather the person in control of the plane after the 'hijack' simply wanted to commit an act of terror, they would have crashed the plane into something much sooner rather than risk flying over controlled airspace for several more hours. They would have also alerted the media to their intentions and someone would have claimed responsibility by now. I think it has either crashed into the sea (unlikely) or has landed on a runway somewhere - somewhere remote enough to be away from public view, with a large enough hangar to hide the plane from detection, and with enough suitable fuel to allow it to refuel and embark on its next journey. Such runways are probably available in Diego Garcia, Pakistan and almost certainly available in Afghanistan thanks to western engineers and troops pulling out of the country and leaving everything useful behind. Good one. I also think all the passengers are now dead. Sorry, I discount a hostage possibility as there has been no ransom demand and if the primary intention is to do harm to people with the plane in the future, then there is no need to keep the passengers alive. They would be a liability to feed and secure and would require additional resources to prevent them from overthrowing the hijackers. It's easier to kill them and be done with it. If they were released somewhere they would have shown up by now. Just my 2c, I hope I'm wrong.

There can be conspiracy theories fabricated and led by imagination and propaganda but I have been following this like many others and, as has been said the plane didnt fall out of the sky into the ocean it changed course and switched locating divices off. I also read that the Americans were critical of the Malaysian government for not letting them in on invesigating the pilot earlier and I thought at the time that the Americans would be a great assistance. There is a group about called Annonymous and they have if you havent seen it put out a video highlighting the interest in the important people on this plane. I put forward the following interesting scenerio I read and I too am interested in the amount of important people and possible cargo on this plane. This theory actually sounds feasable thinking the chinese might need these engineers and also the people behind the hijacking could also make use of highly intelligent engineers etc for their own purposes....why not it has happened through out history. It goes like this: America is withdrawing from Afghanistan, one of their command and control system (used for controlling the pilotless drones) was hijacked by Talibans when the American transport convoy was moving down from one of the hill top bases. The Talibans ambushed the convoy and killed 2 American Seal personnel, seized the equipment/weapons, including the command and control system which weighed about 20 tons and packed into 6 crates. This happened about a month ago in Feb 2014. The Talibans want money. They want to sell the system to Russia or China. The Russians are too busy in Ukraine. The Chinese are hungry for the system’s technology. Just imagine if the Chinese master the technology behind the command and control system, all the American drones will become useless. So the Chinese sent 8 top defense scientists to check the system and agreed to pay millions for it. Sometime in early Mar 2014, the 8 scientists and the 6 crates made their way to Malaysia, thinking that it was the best covert way to avoid detection. The cargo was then kept in the Embassy under diplomatic protection. Meanwhile America has engaged assistance of Israeli intelligence, and together they are determined to intercept and recapture the cargo. Chinese calculated that it will be safe to transport it via civilian aircraft so as to avoid suspicion. After all the direct flight from KL to Beijing takes only 4 and half hours, and American will not hijack or harm civilians. So MH370 is the perfect carrier. There are 5 American and Israeli agents onboard who are familiar with Boeing operation. The 2 “Iranians” with stolen passports could be among them. When MH370 is about to leave Malaysian air space and reporting to Vietnamese air control, one American AWAC jammed their signal, disabled the pilot control system and switched over to remote control mode. That was when the plane suddenly lost altitude momentarily. How can AWAC can do it ? Remember 911 incident ? After the 911 incident, all Boeing aircraft (and possibly all Airbus) are installed with remote control system to counter terrorist hijacking. Since then all Boeing can be remote controlled by ground control tower. The same remote control system used to control the pilotless spy aircraft and drones. The 5 American/Israeli agents took over the plane, switched off the transponder and other communication system, changed course and flew westwards. They dare not fly east to Philippines or Guam because the whole South China Sea air space was covered by Chinese surveillance radar and satellite. The Malaysian, Thai and Indian military radars actually detected the unidentified aircraft but did not react professionally. The plane flew over North Sumatra, Anambas, South India and then landed at Maldives (some villagers saw the aircraft landing), refuelled and continued its flight to Diego Gar CIA the American Air Base in the middle of Indian Ocean. The cargo and the black box were removed. The passengers were silenced via natural means, lack of oxygen. They believe only dead people will not talk. The MH370 with dead passengers was air borne again via remote control and crashed into South Indian Ocean, making to believe that the plane eventually ran out of fuel and crashed, then blame the defiant captain and copilot. American has put on a good show. First diverting all the attention and search effort in the South China Sea while the plane made their way to Indian Ocean. Then they came out with conflicting statements and evidence to confuse the world. Australian is the co-actor. The amount of effort put up by China, in terms of the number of search aircraft, ships and satellites, searching first South China Sea, then Malacca Straits and Indian Ocean is unprecedented. This showed that China is very concerned, not so much about the many Chinese civilian passengers, but mainly the high value cargo and its 8 top defense scientists.

I did consider today that the fact the plane dropped at one stage to 25000 feet that the oxygen masks may have been deployed and if the oxygen had been replaced with another gas the passengers(and crew) could have been overcome, leaving possibly the pilot with a seperate supply to remain conscious. It was reported in the paper that the pilot received a phone call just prior to take off from a disposable phone bought on fake identity. Was everyones attention diverted to the indian ocean with sightings of debri still not found? It has also been mentioned several times of the intense input by the chinese in this search. The plane/debris will be found when they want it found..........it will be too late for any information from the black box.

I think the same thing happened to it that happened to JAL123 in 1985. What probably occurred is perhaps explosive decompression and lost it's vertical stabilizer. It's a debate i've had alot having recently worked for Qantas as a technician.

It goes like this: America is withdrawing from Afghanistan, one of their command and control system (used for controlling ... (post cut for brevity only) Oh wow, just umm WOW! So the aircraft was flown to the super CIA top secret base at Diego Garcia, the one you can look at on Google Maps, read it's history on Wikipedia, has numerous website about it. The same island that has around 2,500 US military personnel (mainly USN with some USAF) and about 4000 Pilipino workers, none of whom decided that an aircraft the world is looking for is worth telling anyone? I spent nearly 6 months on that island and the biggest problem is alcohol poisoning (there is bugger all to do except work and drink lol). As for the remote control of civilian aircraft, can't see Boeing, Airbus or any aircraft manufacturer allowing any single government having the ability to take control of a civilian aircraft. For starters, North Korea, China and a couple of other countries would quickly crack the software. Secondly, well there is no second point, the first kind of says it all. My theory, 'someone' whether it be the pilot, co-pilot or a third person/persons unknown took control of the aircraft, turned off the transponders and try to fly somewhere - screwed up for some reason and the aircraft ran out of fuel over the southern Indian Ocean. Sexyris - my deepest condolences to you and your family for the tragic loss, I sincerely hope that some resolution is achieved soon to ease the pain. Mooka

I really know nothing of this island BUT seriously I suppose anyone can theorise about anything and elaborate things into conspiracy theories............this one has enough twists and turns to make people think Wheres the PLANE????? So you theorise that someone goes to an aweful lot of effort to hijack this plane and then screws it up somehow?...LOL.....yes and they accidently screw it up and did such a good job no one can find it. I realise its a big search area but I feel like we are being made fools of....I am sure if you have involvement in the military then you are well aware of many attrocities commintted in this world....care to share?
