August 29 2016

Hi, just wondering if anyone runs or knows of a please I could take my CD boyfriend to, so he can learn how to apply his make up etc. I don't wear make up myself so I'm not use to him :( - Posted from rhpmobile

I don't know of anywhere specifically but I would say your best bet is to google the burlesque schools. I know that several of them will teach you how to apply makeup and hold workshops. They are very skilled at the art of contouring etc. Apart from that maybe a makeup artist that comes to your home could run a tutorial just for him so he gets one on one time and assistance. It's a lovely thing you're trying to organise!

Online tutorials work just as well and sometimes better as you can go over them again and again till you master the look that is required.Of great help is the drag queen/CD/TV transformation videos on You tube. They in timelapse format to condense an hours makeup transformation into several minutes. Then google the problem areas that you want to improve for tips etc.A beautician may not be experienced in some areas, whereas theatrical makeup artists will have experience. But it's all online and for free. Put the money saved on a beautician toward professional products such as Kryolan. And practice, practise to your hearts content. Annie
