Hi all I was driving home recently, and a song came up on my ipod which was exactly what I was feeling at the time. I know everyone has had a moment like this and thought it would be nice if everyone shared their stories and their lyrics, that made them laugh, cry and scream.     Not just his collaborations with Meatloaf (my favourite singer) but also with other artists. "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young" from the movie "Streets Of Fire" is awe inspiring. One song that always made me laugh was "The Pheasant Pluckers Song" especially the bleeped out bit in the middle where one of the singers fucked up. Songs that could bring a tear to my eye include Laura Brannigan's (RIP) "Ti Amo" and Cindy Lauper's "Time After Time".

    After i broke up with my ex i really got stuck listening to a song by Rascal Flatts What hurts the most it still brings a tear to my eye when i hear it   I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house that dont bother me I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out Im not afraid to cry Every once and a while Even though going on without you Still upsets me There are days Every now and again I pretend Im ok But thats not what gets me   What hurts the most Was being so close And having so much to say And watching u walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you Was what i was trying to do   Its hard to deal with the pain of losing u Everywhere i go But im doing it Its hard to force that smile When i see our old friends and im alone Still hard at getting up, getting, dressed living with this regret But i know if i could do it over I would trade, give away told the words that id saved in my heart That id left unspoken   What hurts the most Was being so close And having so much to say And watching u walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you was what i was trying to do

    Yes there is.....   This is a hauntingly beautiful song, especially when the cello plays its refrain and I urge you to really listen to it. The last line ..when sung..is a killer...   I first heard this song years ago when I watched the movie "Closer" - starring Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Clive Owen - a movie about love, deception, fixation and obsession..how we cant "let go" of the one we love, until we do find someone new to fixate on !!! (so true) ...I so loved the song I went and bought the album "O" by Damien Rice....a Irish singer...the whole album is about his obsession with his ex girlfriend (who btw is the female vocalist on the album) - her father was a glassblower...but Damien couldnt fit the whole word into the song..., so he shortened it to the "Blowers Daughter" ...when the song became a hit, he begged his ex to go on tour with him to promote the album..the story goes that she sang her songs each nite on stage about their breakup, but they didnt speak off stage !!!...very Fleetwood Mac.....I had the pleasure of seeing them both perform live in Melbourne in 2007...   I introduced this song to my ex who also loved it..it was "our song" - this song is his ringtone on my phone.....I heard this song play a few times on my phone earlier this year....it always brought a smile to my face and got my pulse racing and my heart all a flutter.......he married someone else just on a month ago....I havent heard the song since......       And so it is...       And beneath blue eyes ^^^^..good choice...I can soooooooooooooooo relate to that song as well !!!

    I dont recall missing anyone since I was about 18.. There has only ever been ONE good break up song..
