Kanye has taken to wearing skirts,

December 14 2012

as a guy is this a fashion that appeals to you?The Scots have made the kilt a very sexy mode of apparel but the more generic male skirt has never really been a fashion hit.Is the time right now for men to skirt up.? There are many benefits to the skirt as women have known for decades. The skirt afterall gives going commando a whole new dimension. To skirt or not to skirt, that is my question.

Men *not* wearing skirts is actually a relatively new thing when you consider how long humans have been putting on garments. I think it's as silly to cause a fuss about men wearing skirts as it is to consider that a fuss was raised when modern women started wearing pants. Our western culture seems to have some really fucked up "rules" and gender biases that I really believe we could all quite happily live without if people looked beyond the examples they've always blindly followed and actually examined the root origins of what frames commonly 'acceptable' social 'norms' and started thinking for themselves. Just because something has been modelled one way all your life causing you to never stop and think about it, doesn't mean thats how things should always be. I say skirt up for gender freedom, progress and open-mindedness' sake.. xx Sarah- Posted from rhpmobile

As somebody that loves to fuck with preconceptions and the absurdity of gender roles - well, bring it on!I went through a phase of wearing sarongs at the height of summer, which was a fascinating experiment for gauging the generally amused, sometimes baffled, occasionally hostile reactions. Alas it didn't really take off as a trend, and the lack of pockets/near constant wardrobe malfunctions saw me abandon it after a few attempts. Still, it was fun, and my own little act of resistance. And my gods - so light and breezey it almost made the summer bearable!

The man makes the skirt, the skirt does not make the man. Kilts are not hot unless the man in them is...

Walking around in a towel doesn't count. (Though not a bad look)

Omg I will never forget the time when I went to the airport in Sydney to pick up my Dad after he stayed in Fiji for 6 months and he walked through the gates in a Fijian men's skirt... I made him walk 5 metres in front of me at all times!!!- Posted from rhpmobile

David Beckham tried to get the male sarong off the ground a decade ago and failed miserably.Kanye is a 5'6" egomaniac who's best "song", for the want of a better word, was a rap over a Curtis Mayfield masterpiece. I believe you could overlay the sound of a hippo belching onto "Move on Up" and it would sound sensational.Kanye hasn't even noticed the irony that he rapped about gold diggers then got engaged to one.

So I cant say what I think of him (dam I had to google his name to find out who he is)But as for skirts, some guys would look very sexy in them (as long as they shaved their legs)Hey does a sarong count?? I wear them all the time I have about 10 of them...I use to ware then to the shop but 3 guys wanted to beat the crap out of me so I don't ware them out anymore, just to the beach or at home, its sad when one feels threaten when wearing something he likes.....
