I try to work out my adrenaline which means being active at home and with so many things going on this year (and an awesome husband, son and SIL who do most of the heavy work) our place is looking better then ever. Sitting and appreciating the results is a great reward. Haha and valuing finding all those things I knew were here somewhere. We have bulk rubbish very early in the New Year and need to be ready for that. It clears the atmosphere. Comedies can be just the ticket, today it was, "The Cable Guy" though we're not finished yet and recorded the rest. We have lights and a bit of Christmas music too. All on the inside. And there's those friends and friendly peeps on RHP I am ever more grateful for. Being able to take on positive messages from them when I am far more accustomed to negative ones is heartwarming. Thank You all. <3 Peachy, I was going to post on Red's thank you thread but thought and hope the OP agrees that this one was timely. :-)

So glad you're enjoying the peaches of your labour! ;) What a finish to the year - fantastic work :) it feels amazing to be productive - that energy feels good! :D I started watching Sex and the City again after 4 years - so funny! It's really a strange thing how I see it from a different perspective now that I have a little more life experience. I can feel I've excelled in some way. Looking back at this year, it's been quite a rollercoaster ride in my mind. I'm sure it has for you as well by the sounds of it...I wouldn't change a thing in my life to be honest :) things are just the way they are supposed to be and I accept it. I've learnt so much and feel I am moving towards a better me, slowly but surely. The unknown is exciting, yet scary... cheers to a happy 2017! To help me relax after some stressful moments, are: - Seeing a horror or action movie, especially the horror movie, it eliminates the tension inside me almost instantly! 😁😁 - To drive down a highway and listen to the radio music until I regain my breath. To make me happy again after being unhappy, I: - Usually take a deep deep breath and then ask myself "what's the point, or benefits, for being unhappy, especially being unhappy because of some people's faults, or a situation that is beyond my control?"........take the incident I had last night with a care worker, for an example, whom stood me up so lightly after she realised that she had her days and times mixed up and double booked herself! I was literally informed about the cancellation an hour before I left my house for the airport! I was shocked and panicking! But what could I do in situation like that, apart from weighing the importance of the situation, so that I didn't have to cancel my trip and lose a lot of money! Therefore, I took a deep breath and went completely opposite to my mood, and made the said care worker felt like I had forgiven her unprofessional behaviour! So now, my mother will be getting the care she needs while I'm away, and I get to have my break in order to recharge my battery. Of course, the above paragraph is for dead serious situations. For smaller and lighter circumstances, I would normally go out and eat one of my favourite food and then I would be fine again lol - Posted from rhpmobile

Life is about living each moment and we make so many choices a day and despite your negative emotions, you still wanted the optimal outcome. Your positivity rose above that. But what I'm confused about here is if she double booked, was she just really sorry and cancelled the other booking for yours or did she find a replacement? In the end, I'm glad it was sorted. A very serendipitous moment, but life is full of tests, isn't it? The universe's sick sense of humour lol you definitely showed it who's boss. Chatting with a great mate, even if it's just messaging. Taking some nice deep breaths. Cranking the music and dancing or singing. A kiss, cuddle or giggle from my kids. A big hug. Watching silly animal videos on YouTube. Like goats - it's impossible not to smile 😀

OP, that said care worker did apologise for her own mistake, but did not deliver her promise to me professionally, nor did she or her manager try to find any replacement for me either! They both just left me to find my own alternative and none weren't sorry about that part! They didn't even care to inform my agent about the cancellation either, I had to do that myself! So unprofessional and so disappointed! But then nothing I could do to change their attitudes, so I let it be and try my best to enjoy my break before I return to the reality. - Posted from rhpmobile

Allow myself to fall into a slough of despond..When I feel it coming on..my anxiety /depression is situational...I will listen to Mozart,his music does alter the neural pathways taking the mind into an Alpha state..I also try and put my problems into perspective ,live in the moment because that is all there is. Q

@SweetGem - I hope you can enjoy your holiday :)@Softandcurious - awesome ideas :D I like watching guinea pigs and their mouths going 100 miles an hour haha or evil cats thug life. I have enjoyed a day away from forums and I think I'm gonna leave for good now that everything settled - I can leave in a happy enough state. Hope y'all enjoy your break! and best of luck for next year!

Who I've known since 3 years of age .. He lives up the north coast these days so we only get to catch up occassionly but when we do we never fail to make each other laugh. Guaranteed. What Soft said with You Tube ,except mine is CATS.. No matter what mood I'm in , you can bet that after watching cats I'll end up with tears in my eyes..
