Jealousy manifests itself when someone is scared of loosing the other person or they are unsure of themselves and the relationship. Jealousy does not mean someone cares about you CA!! It just means they are possessive over you and no this is not particularly a good thing.

is a sympton of insecurity.Some people love provoking it in others also evidence of insecuriy.I don't personally think that jealousy is any evidence that someone cares.It is evidence that someone wants to own another. In 19th century France ,jealousy was a defence to murder, it was called a crime of passion.It is still a defence to murder but now it is called temporary insanity.Jealousy is indeed an ugly and sometimes dangerous emotion

spurring people on..making them self evaluate, to motivate, to examine Why do we instantly think that a "negative "emotion, as such - is in fact a "negative"emotion ? It only is.... if we let it be Love is an emotion.................bet that word does everyones head in on hows thats perceived....

Shinasbabe,I see nothing positive about such a negative emotion as jealousy.It causes agitation,depression,feelings of powerlessness,panic and can lead to violence. Envy on the other hand may motivate someone to achieve more,do better than etc ....but it can also be like a poison.

I don't do jealousy, as its much better to put your time an effort into other positive avenues.Why spend time being bitter/negative in life.People who are jealous need to understand that something better awaits them in life An example would be ,"J" leaves you >>>>You meet "K" who is someone who you would not have met if still with "J"

...a compilation and culmination of many emotions including jealousy, the range of feelings are both physical, mental and emotional.I get jealous when I see some doofus ripping past me in a brand new Maserati Quattroporte Sport with an absolutely stunning blonde showpiece sitting next to him and think... 'Damn, I wish that was my car'.I could never ever afford the blonde, but maybe one day I'll be able to get that car!

....is a useless emotion which demeans the individual and works/impacts negatively against them in the long run. DontLookDown.....I'm far from high maintenance and cars don't turn me on. But you can do me over your bonnet anytime.... OS
