Hi all. New here. My wife wants me to learn the art of Japanese rope bondage. Does anybody know this art? Anybody willing to teach me? Wife will reward a good teacher :)

Not sure how active the bondage scene is in Adelaide but in Brisbane there are always events and workshops run by locals and touring experts. It's best not to fuck around with it on your own, nerve damage and loss of blood flow can have some rather unsexy results. You could always take a trip to Japan :)

There are so many ways to use Japanese love rope and it is fun learning new ways to use it.   Hoping to earn our rope tying merit badge soon :)

I dont know if this counts.. when I was a scout I learnt all about reef knots' half knots etc.. Then my cousin taught me how to hitch and double hitch on his truck, oh' and of course tying my shoelaces.. So Ive really had quite alot of experience at bonding of a sort..But seriously' why does it need to be japanese.. ? I can only imagine that wrapping some ropes around someone would be just as good one way as another. As long as no harm was taking place, and follow your senses ' Im sure the end result would be the same.. I was tied to a bed once, just hands and feet... that was very sensual... The only harm done was I felt totally out of control.. and that wasnt bad thing.. just my thoughts Jay

Buy books, watch clips on the net, do workshops if you have access to any - basically spend as many hours on it as you possibly can. My husband is a sailor, and a scout, so knows a lot about knots - but Shibari takes it to a whole new level of beauty and skill... He has spent innumerable hours studying and never ceases to learn more - which is very important as Shibari can be dangerous if not done properly. Quality ropes makes a huge difference too.
