But you are right, it was probably an excuse. I mean you sound perfect, as far as I am concerned you are just what I would be looking for. I wouldnt care about how "smart" you are, if you went to uni or if you worked in a broom factory.. As long as we get on we can get it on! You deserve better.. His loss Desserts. Cheers Oldog

Desserts, Please hun, don't worry about it. It sounds like he is a player and you basically called his bluff by saying yes. His reason is nothing but a very weak and ill thought out excuse. I would say he isn't an academic, nor probably anything like his profile portrays and because you took an interest in him, he panicked and came up with one of the lamest, weak as piss excuses I have heard. Just put it down that you dodged a major bullet in this one, he wasn't worth your time anyway. Mooka

I recon his profile is nothing like the reality and that is why he bailed. Please ladies and gentlemen and others, do not put down the academics, I know a few that are simply fantastic (both in bed and out) Dont worry about him desserts. Move on. Plenty more out there that are genuine. Just persevere Hun. Fionabee

I so don't get some of the reasons used for 'why not' on this site, hope it's not too long till you have fun with the fellow who works out 'why'!Hugs... Mrs P xoXox

Desserts, You look and sound gorgeous and you will probably find he did not state the truth in his profile as Fionabee said. I've known so many "uneducated" trades people who knew more than the supposed "scholars" with degrees. And anyway, why talk shop when out in the playground ?

See how much fun he gets from crawling into the sack opening his Thesaurus and placing his member between the pages. LOL Talk about going to be with a good book. No thanks. Better things can be located and I am sure you will find plenty of them.

He is entitled to make any excuse that he wants or choice of selection for that matter .. who knows what the real reasons are. But to crucify him because he is an academic is hardly fair. God forbid that someone may want to educate themselves and provide them or their family a comfortable life or perhaps choose a career that interest them......! Wouldn’t we all like to see our children excel with their education and graduate from university with a degree ?

With all of the above and on reflection I think it was his way of getting out of a potential meet as he did seem rather astounded when I suggested having a phone chat. Certainly his loss, but I'm constanly astounded at how many guys want to know if my hobbies coincide with theirs or if the stars are aligned before they will even consider a meeting!!

Quoting 'MissBJ'sounds to me that the "professional" v's "non-professional" argument rears its ugly head again! All academics are professionals but not all professionals are academic!! :p Hugs Stalky

No one has the right to make up an excuse that includes putting or talking down to another. if it's not "right" he should just say "it's not right". I am uni educated and run my own successful business, if i required the other party to be the same i would spell it out. .....at the end of the day many on this site need to just use a little common courtesy.

He is married and I am married and I am not crucifying him cos he has a uni degree, but at the end of the day we are looking at a brief sexual encounter during the day in a hotel room and quite frankly what jobs we have shouldn't come into it. We are certainly not going to be going out for dinner or anything else. Pure sex with a bit of chat afterwards, and I'm quite well versed on most topics!!

I might not have a uni degree but I am financially independant of my hubby cos I worked hard and made good choices and never had my kids until later in life and I do own my own home, no mortgage here sunshine!!!

Quoting 'stalky' Quoting 'MissBJ'sounds to me that the "professional" v's "non-professional" argument rears its ugly head again! All academics are professionals but not all professionals are academic!! :p Hugs Stalky hahahahhaha....yep Stalky!Although I didnt mean professional per se...its the whole...."I'm something and you're not so we are sexually incompatible" argument that just gets on my goat.Of course everyone is allowed to have their own tastes etc...but joizus....when you are being that picky about someone you will probably only ever 'know' for a few hours...then you don't really wanna get laid, do ya?JMO....BJxxx

I'm guessing his wife is a stay at home mum who never had a career and he considers she has no right of complaint because he is the bread winner and he is allowed to cheat. I am also guessing he thinks you are in the same category as her and what you are seeing isn't snobbery it's in actual fact a disgusting display of chauvinism against women. He doesn't think you have the right to do what you're doing... He's a bigger wank stain than I first though.
