Is soft a real turn off?

July 11 2010

Can I ask you guys something..? I am slim but soft.. in spite of regular exercise etc. My natural body and skin type is genetically pre-determined to be that way I have finally figured out..in spite of losing weight and as I say, working hard to make myself fit. I have never been that athletic, toned woman that graces the covers of magazines etc. What I want to know..and honestly want to know..not just platitudes, but does soft .. squishy put you off? Thank you for your input.

Soft is fine, soft is feminine, feminine = yummy Personally i am not so wrapped in the toned muscely, i spend my life at the gym look, although i guess many are.It all comes down to personal preference.Cheers Nev.....theres a lot to be said for being comfortable in your own skin  OR no matter what you are, you wont please everyone!

Personally, I looooooooooove curvy, soft women. They feel greeeeeaaaat and the curves turn me on. Skinny girls look ok with their clothes on but once they take their clothes off, they look like pre-pubescant boys....... sort of...........obviously without the dangly thing between their legs.......you know what i mean...... I am seriously having second thoughts about writing that last paragraph.... I can just imagine the repercussions. Oh well, Cest la vie.

Soft? hehe... I thought this was a penile dysfunction question from the headline..... hehe. Firm or soft... it's how sexy you are that counts... and most of that has to do with attitude I think. HUgs Stalky

The girls in the mags are airbrushed, boobs and abs added, inches taken away from the waist etc and we all fall for it and expect that that's what we and our lovers should look like. Soft and sensual is how a real woman is supposed to be so relish in what nature has given you, I'm sure any man you let explore you will love every inch of you. Oh and Mrs Pup is the softest of specimens and after many years I still can't keep my hands off her. xxx

Ok ok so I exaggerated my aged but at 45 I am still waaaaaay to soft and even in my younger years, I was of this build. Seems mighty unfair mother nature hands out genes to some of firm and lithe bodies (irrespective of crappy eating habits, etc etc) and to others like me, the 'soft', 'flabby' or 'squishy' gene in wild abundance. If I met her in the street, I have to say..I would like to bitch slap her.

A real lady anyday, not a airbrushed magazine one, real women have curves, not the stick figures you see in them

I much prefer a curvy, sexy body that looks like a real woman any day. Nothing worse than a stick insect! The sexiest women I know are confident, unhibited rubenesque ladies

You do realise some woman are naturally built that way.... slim/skinny, or stick figures (as you so eloquently put it) don't you and are definetely as real as curvy women. I happen to know one very well as it happens, and they have frailties too.Sooo Vive Le Women .....be they thin or fat....short or tall, Black White or Brindle, Big Boobs or itty bitty titties. they all have brains, they all have feelings, they all have personalities.Cheers Nev........lest we Judge for we be Judged....lets just adore them all, even if they are a strange breed!

I personally dont mind the toned, airbrush look at times. But honestly, i prefer a real women, one with curves and natural beauty. Plus a few tattoos and black hair doesnt go astray :p

Nope, not a turn off. Sounds like quite a lot of attractive slim girls - they're skinny fat. When you said you execrised to be firmer - what exercise did you do? So many girls just do card type exercise and at most they burn off some fat - but put on no muscle so it's still soft, just with less of the soft stuff. If for whatever reason you do want to be firmer, try lifting heavy weights. You won't bulk up, but you'll build firm muscle underneath. Disclaimer: not saying soft is a turn off, I've been turned on by many many girls who sound just like you describe, etc. But the way you asked it sounded like you'd like to be firmer. Happy playing anyway :)

Lol, skinny fat..I love it, I sound like a particularly confused cup of exotic coffee... and thank you for those who responded. So much pressure out there on women..so many expectations .. often times, made of ourselves. Sydneyboy, I do the exercise thing but havent tried going with the bigger weights..maybe that is worse a try, just promise me I wont end up looking like Arnie or my last words to my next lover may well be... Hasta La Vista baby...

lolz Sydneylad... you're so eloquent when you want to be and you're spot on with female muscular development. You shouldn't fear FrigidJones. Women don't have nearly enough testosterone to look anything like Arnie.. well.. not without some chemical assistance anyway. For example, Stephany Rice is not skinny-fat. There's some very nice firm curves right there. :p HUgs Stalky

It's kinda cool as a label..skinny fat..sorta like 'you're ugly in a beautiful way'..takes the sting out of it a bit - in the meantime, back to the drawing board, man, these weights are not getting any lighter.

"Go on and flaunt ha! What ya Mumma gave you! Ha!" Soft skin is sexy, you don't want people feel like they're hugging a brick with skin. But I do recommend yoga for core strength and all over muscle tone and dry-brushing your skin which improves circulation, gets rid of bumpy bits and makes your skin look all glowy if you moisturise afterwards.

Women are generally rounded and soft in places we men adore. look at a ferrari, does it look like an undernourished model? Watch your libido there Ms Jones, gonna take a fall with that mind-set lurking in your self image. I bet you feel devine to touch, so feel devine and it is so.

It sound like you may be comparing your self to men rather than women you sound very female to me. Personally while love a fit woman I do not like a hard woman she would remind me to much of a man. I feel you will find men mostly like the opposite to the male norm which tends to be a bit firmer but not an absolute. We like women to be women. Jordan

Soft, Hard, Squishy, Wobbly, and anything else you can think of. Its how the human body is. We all need to stop worrying and start enjoying. Dont worry that your not as toned as you want to be. Your alive and thats all you need to worry about. Go out and enjoy life. Dosnt matter what shape or size men and women are. We are all fantastic xx

Nature crafts the fine art of a woman's body in many ways. Just those words alone nearly melt together when you say them...soft is sensual. | Who am I to argue with the designer of some of the finest works of art I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy.

... I too am soft and squishy, though a long way from thin. I'm always asking my lovely man if he finds particular women - living, pics in mags etc - attractive. He's very consistent in his answers - regardless of whether the women are slim or larger, he likes them to have curves and look soft (phew for me!). He absolutely doesn't like any woman that has biceps, triceps, abs or anything that makes them look like a bloke (albeit a skinny bloke that lifts light weights).I love that he loves my softness :)lilmiss x
