Is it just the cold weather?

I don't know if it's just me noticing this or if it's something everyone is seeing more of lately. The bitterness on these forums is spreading like a disease and it's going to eat away at the good nature that exists and the friendly/flirty/open sharing that occurs day in day out.in the shaded box at the top of your reply window and new forum option are some basic rulesDon't post anything that defames or villifies"de·fame (d-fm)tr.v. de·famed, de·fam·ing, de·fames 1. To damage the reputation, character, or good name of by slander or libel. 2. Archaic To disgrace.It's becoming more and more prevalent that people are ignoring this and just being bitter/nasty/vindictive/insulting with their replies or attacks, I know of several people who I have spoken with over the last month who are either on the edge of leaving the community because of it or have already left. I think often this small (at the moment) bad core of people forget this is not a community service provided for you. It's a tool to help people, the end of the day the goal is to take something positive away from it. If your kink is sex, meeting great people, just chatting, perving or anything in between then this is certainly a place you are welcome to hang out. If you're "thing" is being an asshole to anyone, putting others down, attacking people or certain aspects of the culture then you are not welcome here.If you don't like someone or have an opinion of them that will jade your reply then nobody is forcing you to reply and post a comment. This is really simple stuff we should apply to our lives in general. If you don't like it walk away. I for one am welcoming the new members posting on the boards (I'm one myself) and I enjoy the flirty chat of the regulars and the zany questions that we share along with stories and experiences.<3 R

I don't know what Forums or posts you are reading Rob...but they can't be the same as mine! I find most make me out and out laugh till I fall off my chair or bring a smile to my face. The more serious ones are obviously from people that are asking for help and (hopefully) open to all the advice/information they get. Some people can get a little heated in some of their posts...but I don't see it as nasty...as they usually explain where they are coming from. It depends on how you interpret the way they write something...sarcasm and a sense of humour is hard to come across to people...it is in the interpretation of the reader more than the writer I think. The longer you are here, the more you understand who is who and how their sense of humour works. xFunlovingx

I mean we all have our passions and when something confronting a position your passionate about is traversed it's kind of natural to let rip. I'm all for feeling the love.. but that doesn't mean we all have to agree. It's ok to disagree.. and th have a disagreement with someone but that shouldn't have to mean any form of malice, vitreol or vilification. Still, shit happens. That's why I think we need a moderator. Am snuggled up with Funlovin on this one............Don't recall all that much nastiness, or bitterness.But there will always be some, its just human nature.....sometimes its just a natural progression from a divergence of opinions and beleifs.Otherwise it would be so sickly sweet it would make you ill.Cheers Nev...........If ya can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen!....OR....sometimes the kids throw sand in da sandpit.

nah, I don't think it's the weather seems as I remember remarks being made on a similar topic, about whether it was the heat, not so long ago lol. It is a topic that is raised regularly, and the posts are most often well written, as I think yours is. As I've posted before on the general topic, I think a lot of it depends on a person's point of view and now I would also consider comprehension. It's easy to misunderstand here with the written word as our only cue. I know I've made jokes that seem to have been taken the wrong way.I remember feeling very much like yourself not so long ago. In my experience of 3 years or so though, the 'forums' will go on regardless. It doesn't make it right or fair, but that, in my opinion, is the nature of the beast. We hear so often about people who are thinking of leaving, some do, and some of them come back. Hehe I've/we've left and returned and thought about leaving since. Sometimes I wonder how much it has to do with survival of the fittest. I'd like to see a more welcoming atmosphere at times. Many are welcomed but sometimes it seems to me posting the wrong thread can be a trial by fire experience. Definitely would like to see less of many against one.As an aside, reading the forums, friends and personal experience all suggest to me that thoughtless private messages behind the scenes don't help. On the other hand, we have made a few friends because of thoughtful messages exchanged. Relieved to say many more of them than the first type. Please forgive my perhaps disrespectful attempt at humour that perhaps we should let our fingers do the walking... to a better place hehe. Hugs n slurps... Mrs P'
